Agreed ...and "the grabbers were back" is true ...but they were mostly being respectful of the horse and all very much appreciating and enjoying the experience.....BUT ....one can easily identify that the "flood gates" can easily open when trying to accommodate anyone. A tricky business dealing with an unknown crowd, particularly when there are token ignorant ones who think the world turns around them. .
He is a really nice person, if you watch the other videos you will see how he treats people. A great ambassador. That one small act can have such a massive effect on a child, so it is good to see.
I love the Life Guards because of this man.He was interviewed and he really is so nice and soldier.I always watch if he is going to be in the box.He has a medal now and hope he will get more.Salute to you Guard and the Trooper horses.I also love how they look for each other and take care of their horses.

Yes a beautiful act by the Guard and so very special for that young man, the Guards will always do the extra special thing for special needs children and adults. I have seen it several times that they will try and make the moment so special and I am sure it makes up a bit from dealing with totally disrespectful and arrogant "Look at me" tourists. This brought tears to my eyes because I have a special child too. You have no idea how much this meant not only to this child but to his parents. Kids like ours don't always receive such kindness. Very special heart that guard has. I have always had utmost respect for all of them & what they do. This elevated that respect & admiration even more. Thank you.
All guards are sensitive to children and people with special needs. Also, they really appreciate it when you show them respect. But they are extremely strict towards the ungodly and those who disturb them.
Such a lovely act by the guard to give this special child the chance to touch his mount, his delight was obvious and the parent thanking the guard was so nice, this is one of the things that is great about these guards, strong when required and so kind when necessary, God Bless them all .
After all the phonies to whom he and his horse are just fashion accessories, it must have made his day to see the absolute joy of his encouraging that young man to touch his horse engendered. That young man is a part of why he joined the military, to protect those who cannot protect themselves and this boy is the personification of someone who cannot protect themselves.

Horses know who the kind people are and who the bad ones are. They also know who needs special gentleness and empathy. It's what makes them such amazing creatures to be around. I've had show horses who were spitfires in the ring or on a jumping course, yet around a child or special needs person they turned into a soft gentle teddy bears.

I had to repeat watching this kind gesture from the guard to this young boy and his family, how the guard discreetly beckoned the family over for closer contact with the horse and guard was lovely to see. Bravo for this Guard!!! These videos are amazing to watch. Having been a horseman and horse owner I can say these are well trained riders and horses. Most children in this world have never touched a horse. To allow them to get close to one and touch it is outstanding. Well Done Kings Guards.
Start at 4:52 to see the young boy. This guard really interacts with the crowd. It was such a very simple, yet a very kind thing he did. I love it when the other children came forward to touch the horse and the guard was accommodating. This man and his beautiful horse created a wonderful memory for that family and others. As the British love to say "brillant".
At 5:27, right after the young man, I was shocked to see the guard letting someone FEED his horse! That sugar cube could have been laced with anything. I can easily imagine an American teen thinking it would be hilarious to watch a horse freaking on LSD or Fentanyl. I'm losing a lot of respect for the negligent and uncaring soldiers and cops who allow things like this and the woman who slapped a horse THREE TIMES and was allowed to just walk off. TERRIBLE disrespect to the horses . 😡 🤬 🤮
@@jalyc The woman didn't feed the horse anything. She had an empty palm, the horse just assumed it had food in it because that's what it associates with that gesture. I would presume the Guards don't allow randos to feed their horses *anything*. The woman who slapped at the horse in question was immediately reprimanded by the guard and walked away as I recall and afterward the armed police came over to investigate the situation. They likely didn't feel it needed to escalate beyond that.
That was fantastic what he did for that young boy,even the dad said thank you to the guard. It just shows what they can do in situations like that,that bought tears to my eyes I felt so happy for that young lad. I think the parents were wonderful explaining to the boy what he could do and not do,there is a father having respect for the guard and his horse. I hope they had a wonderful day. Seems like this specific guard always shows kindness and curtesy to those who need it. Even though some of them don't thank him on the video, either by words or perhaps a nod or a wave, you can tell it has made an impact on them.
Truly a touching moment, for the Guard to allow the family and the child to experience touching the horse in a very sacred position. And for the parents to sign thank you, very moving. As the mother of a disabled girl in wheelchair, it was a lovely that the guard asked them forward through such a very busy summer holiday crowd, it’s nice to feel included. The pure JOY the children get is priceless. The Royal Guards do their jobs perfectly with lots of love, precision, patience, and skill to name a small few gifts they have to offer the people.
These men are the best of the best. They are Warriors and kind hearted people. Thank you for all you do....

What a friendly young man. Been sitting for some time on the horse's back, smiling all the time. Not once did I see a frown on his face. Way to go soldier.....I salute you. Most often the horses are the centre of attraction, rightly so, they are beautiful animals, but kudos to the guy/girl sitting on its back.

My son has special needs and that kindness brought tears to my eyes thank you so much.
Seems like this specific guard always shows kindness and curtesy to those who need it. Even though some of them don't thank him on the video, either by words or perhaps a nod or a wave, you can tell it has made an impact on them.

Truly a touching moment, for the Guard to allow the family and the child to experience touching the horse in a very sacred position. And for the parents to sign thank you, very moving. As the mother of a disabled girl in wheelchair, it was a lovely that the guard asked them forward through such a very busy summer holiday crowd, it’s nice to feel included. Thank you for your service!
