- Round two! Its alive and angry!! Got the 1947 Kenworth 926 with Cummins NH275 Iron Lung started and running out of a bucket. Throttle works, fuel cut off works, sounds pissed off that we woke it from its slumber! Next step is to hook up the Iron Lung and drive it out!
She sounds like, that she will kill everything that get in her way..... That truck defiantly have a soul...
Ran one in a 65 Pete for a few years until we replaced it with a NTC 335. Loved that old iron lung motor!
Old timers called them 2 six bits... they was a horse in their day . Not long turbos started showing up. Them old chargers had a sound that was very distinctive.
Boy, that starter got a workout!
That makes me proud to have worked at cummins
Hell yeh, ain’t nothing like one
That would be a dream job for me!! Must be an awesome experience.
Man love that flame from the stack pretty cool
King of the road back in the day
Oh that's a good starter right there
I can almost smell the diesel un the air 👍
I would love to have that truck to restore in retirement.
I like blower sound nice noising ☑️👂🏿🎶
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 I love to see & hear the old trucks running again. Something wasn’t right about the way it was running. It was rather smooth, but I can’t put my finger on what the weird sound was! I know that truck would look great in my driveway! Is that one of those high compression Cummins engines? Almost sounds angry or something. 🥰🤩✌️
I'm ready for another update video!!!
COOL!
Sounds like the starter didn't kick out.
That's the blower.
Hell yeah ! 😆 Who wouldn't have wanted to see this clip?

It sounds like a ghostly truck
I drive it and pull grain with it
Moo moo,moo 🐄 🐮 🐄
Love that old motor. Are you goin to run a backdrop or is it already equipped with one ? Thanks for the vid
All supercharged cummins ran backdrop manifolds so that they would clear the blower housing.
@@SootyMangabey. oh yeh ? That makes perfect sense being flat like that. Ya learn something all the time, thanks for the info.
We called them “backdraft” exhaust manifolds. Add a Riker muffler and a set of Jakes and you were styling. Unmistakable sound of the number 1 piston popping. Best sounding cummins ever!
@@SootyMangabey. this is true if mounted in a truck. If it was a stationary engine most had a straight up center section exhaust manifold.
what on earth is that noise?
The blower is making that whining sound. It isn’t hooked up to the intake so you hear it very clearly.
Supercharger noise that was disconnected from the intake housing
