I didn’t know there was brackets to attach those high pipes to the frame the two a65’s a 66 and 67 I have the frames have mounted holes for those pipes. I’m now using the high pipes I have on a 69 a65 but there’s no mounting holes looks like I need to find some brackets I was going to weld something on the frame but would rather not do that . I don’t remember seeing those in my spares manual it covers 65,66,&67. Congrats on getting your bike running
I had a Mk 11 Spitfire back in the day and ordered a pair of Hornet pipes. had to jet up the GP's but sadly back then they were too loud for the street I think that they cost about £14.00 from the factory !
front stud is 7/16" x 7-7/8" 20tpi (BSA part# 68-4905) and lower stud is 3/8" x 9-3/4" 26tpi (BSA part# 68-4260), I made them both from stainless steel bar
I'm very pleased for you Ian, sounds great. What a transformation from when you picked it up.
Best wishes, Dean.

I got the part numbers (brackets are just handlebar clamp 65-5333) from Draganfly online parts book, they show all variants including Wasp & Hornet.
Nice, sounds fruity

Yes, these are a bit loud, not sure the neighbours appreciate it!
Not sure my last comment went. Do you have contact details?
What size engine mount stud did you use and where did you get it from ?

@@InTheShedUK Thankyou and I love the videos, really informative. I don't have a lathe so will need to buy one from somewhere. 😀
@@derycklynn8459 I'm sure you will find one very useful, my first lathe was a cheap Chinese mini lathe, check out my playlists
