I made this 7up pound cake last night. God bless you! My Mama was the baker in my family and she now has dementia. Although I have her recipes it didn't taste like hers. SO I FOLLOWED YOU as you suggested! I loved my Mama's cake... BUT this was so much lighter and then hers. I immediately passed it on to my sister! Thank you so much!!!

Started using this recipe about a year ago. My family now begs me for it! It’ll definitely be on the table for thanksgiving tomorrow. Y’all: Watch the video so you’ll know the steps she took. This isn’t a throw it all in the bowl recipe. Get the cake flour. Take your time when mixing. If you follow her step by step, your mix will have the literal consistency of silk.

I made this cake tonight and i almost CUSSED cause it was soooo good.
Your recipe was spot on!! I made my cake along with you while watching your video and it was sooo good. Tasted like a mix between a regular cake and a pound cake.

My Jamaican husband has been asking for this cake since tasting my aunts cake at our family reunion. I'm going to try your recipe this weekend. I've made your sweet potato pie recipe several times with a little extra cinnamon and nutmeg and they've turned out great every time. Fingers crossed!

Merry Christmas Chris! I just discovered your videos a few months ago and I made the this cake as a Pineapple upside down cake for Thanksgiving. The cake was great and my husband and I fought over the last piece. Thanks for your great videos and recipes.

Thank you for explaining this process slowly and repeating the why you do and do not do certain things. You are a great teacher for beginner cooks and all types of cooks.
