You prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend lately =)
I loved "Dead Silence." I wanted to see it when it was in theaters, but sadly, the theater that was showing it near my house literally dropped it the day before I was going to see it. Bought the DVD though, and loved it. It's deffinitly become one of my favorite horror films of the past decade. It really is a great homage to when movies were truly creepy and eerie (and scary) and not just gorey and overtly in-your-face.
that's what I thought when I first saw this! Slappy was kind of creepy when I read the books in 4th grade, so now this film won't seem scary since I'll always think of Slappy.
This movie was so under rated. Who cares if it isn't realistic. Dolls have always scared the shit out of me and this movie made Chucky look like a Care Bear
@droker3121 I wrote a story in 2005 about an elderly ghost woman that chokes people when they're scared. Everytime she attacks all the lights slowly go out. There is a Henry, the flashback scene, the kidnapped boy, i had children instead of puppets but they are really the old woman too. They changed the ghost woman's hands theme into the tongue theme. They changed the children into the puppets and they changed the supernatural dark theme into the supernatural silent theme.
the only reason why people hated this movie is because it didnt have as much blood and guts as horror films today. so what if it doesnt have organs spewing out every 5 seconds its still scary.
I really wish they made a sequel. Maybe a prequel on one of the other families she killed in the past but add more substance and a story to it. Or make it like the son or daughter of the detective that was killed by Mary investigates how he died and comes across the legend of Mary Shaw
I'm glad you adore these theives! They took my story, slightly altered it and got the credit for it. These kind of theives will burn in hell for a couple of years before they're forgiven.
I love the Saw series and I love Dead Silence. I really like those guys, I think they're awsome. (: I hope they make more movies in the future. They seem like really nice people as well, not stuck up. :)

Man i figured out parts of the movie that kinda led me to having the ending figured out but they threw me off a few times with Marion.. i thought she was a play on the word marionette and thought she was possessed by Mary Shaw but after it was revealed she might not have been other stuff starting coming to my mind. The ending was a good twist but they kinda alluded to it very heavily
leigh and james are the best they made saw 1-3 and dead silence those are awsome movie's i hope they make more movies in the future that shut be awsome
lets not forget james, he is cute too :) I was listening to leigh on the party show on rrr the other night, very entertaining toward the end of the show after the panel and leigh had gone through about a case of crown lagers, leigh grew up in Glen Waverly, and i think james did also. i never heard about this film until i just stumbled upon it now.
Funny how James Wan talks about the old British horror movies of the 60s and 70s, which were heavy on building mood and asthetics - and yet his crappy "Dead Silence" contained NONE of that. Dead Silence was the only horror movie I ever bought after great anticipation - and brought BACK!!
I can't believe the movie didn't do well at the box office. Its so underrated
Dead Silence was very creepy. Horror movies don't need gore to be scary..
E T I agree
Even though dead silence had gore?...
It had a good twist
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend lately =)
@Tomas Chris Definitely, been watching on instaflixxer for years myself =)
I love Leigh Whannell so gorgeous
yeah i think so too.....so bloody gorgeous he is.....even in the first movie with the blood make up
I've loved leigh since he was on recovery

Am I the only one who thinks Leigh and James are the cutest boys on earth?
They're just going to skip over the fact that this puppet and Jigsaw's puppet are both named Billy
I was hoping to see them mention why they used that name when it was in Saw already
This film scared the hell out of me at 15 years old. I was scared to scream while watching the film
that's what I thought when I first saw this! Slappy was kind of creepy when I read the books in 4th grade, so now this film won't seem scary since I'll always think of Slappy.
@El señor Salcedo The high end of my 20s...I'm surprised to see someone notice this comment!
Billy the pupet looks like Leigh Whannell xD
James Wan is brilliant wen it comes to horror movies. Intrestingly, the doll reminded me of Jigsaw from the Saw series!

I like how that interview is just sitting there. :/ I would I had tons of questions for these amazing film makers.
There is an Easter egg before they show the clown there is a saw puppet!!
The ending was amazing...unbelievable..😱😱😱👀👁
the ventriloquist looks like Slappy for some reason
Now it looks like benson from toys story 4
@@ebonkinght yep *agreed*
This movie was so under rated. Who cares if it isn't realistic. Dolls have always scared the shit out of me and this movie made Chucky look like a Care Bear

Don't feel bad I watched this movie at night and couldn't sleep the entire night and I had to go to school the next morning. Plus I'm 20 years old.

Couldn’t believe why it been forgotten as it never existed
I'm glad you adore these theives! They took my story, slightly altered it and got the credit for it. These kind of theives will burn in hell for a couple of years before they're forgiven.

How do I but that billy the doll in the video
It's painfully underrated movie 😭
I am in love with Leigh Whannell

This movie scarred me for life. When I was 5
I was like 6 years old when I seen and I didn’t cry
How much would that puppet cost if it was for sale?
No clue... a lot I bet. I borrowed it from our Universal PR rep for this shoot back in the day. And she loaned it to me cause I'm friends with James.
How do I get him

Anyone Here In 2021? ♥️
if james wan makes robert pattinson batman 2 then we might see the ventriloquist aka scarface vs penguin
They Should Make a Sequel to Dead Silence ;)
Richard Falla Romero No
I never scream anyway whenever i get scared. Once I was home alone and my mate popped up outiside my window and I never screamed.
Had no idea he was Australian or is it New Zealand 🤔.
Australian
