Looks awesome! I’ve been heating my house for the last few years by cutting down the standing dead ash trees on my dad’s land. They’ve been completely wiped out by the emerald ash borer. So many dead standing trees that I can’t cut them all down. We have huge stacks of logs waiting for processing

Don't ruin your trees. Don't cut them down unless your actually using them for lumber or firewood. Theyll rot on the ground.
      Bring in giant miscanthus grass.

Great video! I had my land timbered 10 years ago. I left standing a few large white oaks. Since then those oaks haven't produced any significant amount of acorns so they will come down.

Better off climbing the trees and cutting off the tops. This wont kill the tree and will also open up the sunlight.
You probably cut down a few thousand dollars worth of oak beam timber thats just going to rot out in the woods.

I’ve been careful not to leave much money on the ground at all. Maybe a few hundred that I could pocket and that’s not including all the labor I’d have to do to get it out or have someone come in and get it out. For me my purpose is management and not just pocketing money. So if I loose a few hundred and better my grounds that is my goal
