I wrote a rap about being “a redskin girl” and what it was like growing up with racials slurs being thrown at me, reclamation of the label, being proud of who I am, and then raising awareness for missing indigenous women. This beat is PERFECT
This song was hard asf It was taking me back to old ancient Indian timing from when I imagined seeing myself working out in a futureristic world being in time like back to the future fighting with crazy Indian thugs out to get me but team up with good ones to learn their cultures. While working physical jobs it would feel like going over seas on boats, traveling and going to foreign countries as I'm a very courageously tough hard worker my supervisors trained me to act like a soilder by taking orders, following instructions trying to navigate around obstacles taking on enemies in combat all that...I do custodian janitoral work in a building with a team...other times landscaping with my dad when he needs me, I'm a superhero slash veteran in many cases to those I help out..while working constantly it'll have a brother sweat bullets but I keep myself energetic by drinking water gatorades fruit drinks and a energy drink when needed...any amount of music you listen will feel it's pumping you up for a fight for real.
I am Nihiyaw, it means from the four directions. In English you call us the Cree. They call us that because the creator of all things living and non-living is one. Cree is short for creator. As one we ask the spirits what our names are. They tell us our names. Mine is yotin pimohkitew napew. Windwalker man. The reason we say man after the name, is because we are in the form of a man at this time. It changes with your growth. At first I was yotin pimohkitew awasis. That means windwalker child. Now I’m a man. After that I will just be windwalker. It tells you exactly who you are. Kakikiy. Forever.
Don't say what you want to do And then never follow through You got to do what you got to do In this world that revolves for you 365 and 366 on a leap year Gotta give your all There ain't no room to be cheap here We living for the future so the past is very clear The present is a gift but it's been a scary couple years😂 Lol, That's a coping mechanism But did you know Within your soul There can dwell a prism Refracting all the bad s*** and just letting in the light Distortions is the bulls*** that Be getting them to fight When I say them I mean us we looking at our destiny We look and then we ask is it really what is best for Mii But I'ma fkn chef And I got the best recipe Sim-pl-y, Block out all the chaos and find inner peace
My dad is 1/4 native he says he's INDIAN he even told the census lady he was indian and when she left I said dad you just told her you were indian that's a different people and yes they are different but officially american indian is recognized as a race Wait I'm wrong I don't know what he would be 1/4 or what his mom's mom was at least half and his dad's mom was half so I don't know what me or him would be both my great grandmother's on my dad's side were at least half native or more we don't know much about our ancestors passed my great grandparents
Well I'm "Indian" too. I personally don't care what people call us (native, Indian, etc.) I think stuff like this brings awareness to the culture (my culture) and pays homage to it
You need to chill out. It’s not the worst thing you’ll ever be called. (If you got offended by that... you probably just found out you’re 1/18th Cherokee or you’ve never went outside the reserve/without your family in a city/ or just stay on your computer)
What’s rude is getting hit with a car door while you were on your bike and headed home, getting jumped because you were an indigenous person, and getting shit thrown at you while you’re walking on a sidewalk. (You really are a snow flake)
This beat could knock the smallpox off a blanket!

Don't say what you want to do
And then never follow through
You got to do what you got to do
In this world that revolves for you
365
and 366 on a leap year
Gotta give your all
There ain't no room to be cheap here
We living for the future
so the past is very clear
The present is a gift
but it's been a scary couple years😂
Lol, That's a coping mechanism
But did you know
Within your soul
There can dwell a prism
Refracting all the bad s***
and just letting in the light
Distortions is the bulls*** that
Be getting them to fight
When I say them I mean us
we looking at our destiny
We look and then we ask
is it really what is best for Mii
But I'ma fkn chef
And I got the best recipe
Sim-pl-y,
Block out all the chaos
and find inner peace

Fusing trap with sacred music isn't it. These kids don't know what Trap culture even is. Use a commercial powwow song. This is a medicine man song.
This is rude, don't call them *Indians* do not do that that is disrespectful to me , because I'm a person of them, call them indigenous or aboriginal.
