Rumble stage 800 has a digital line out level. That you can stage up or stage down ....I think 10 dB either way
Here's how I get around it- I use the DI on my preamp that has amp and cab simulation, and the output from that goes to my amp. That way my amp signal isn't going into the mains at all, and I can turn it up as loud as I need it to use as a personal monitor (within reason). Also if I'm in a situation where I can't use my amp it doesn't affect my tone going into the board.
Same here: VT Bass deluxe has a DI to the board and a jack output to the amp.
I really like how Boss thought of every possible scenario and added a switch for that
The Rumble 800 combo is now in front of the master volume. Selectable pre or post EQ, but both before the master volume. They're learning!
Ah! Good to know! I may have to circle back to a Rumble after all!
I have one in transit now!
Just about any Markbass Amp has a separate DI volume and some of them I believe are Post EQ as well.
Fender bass man 800. Def more expensive but has separate xlr level control. Bought this set up along with my rumble 500.
I have a TCE BQ500 head and it comes with a pre and post eq button. I usually keep it at pre and haven't have any sound engineer complain to me about the volume.
Check that out it's a nice sub £300, 500W amp head
Just picked up the GR BASS Dual and it's got everything and the kitchen sink
Ampeg PF500 has the DI after master volume and can be switched between pre and post EQ. While technically not a combo amp, its fliptop design allows the head to be stored inside the cabinet for transport.
I have one of these with the 115 cab, and it's really heavy.
It's Definitely no featherweight. I've got a 1x15 and a 2x10 paired to mine. Casters on the bottom cab make it plenty gigable, but it would've been nice if they'd included handles on both sides.
Can confirm Hartke HD500 has DI at unigain pre EQ
I have a Carvin BX500 head with seperate master and DI level controls. IMHO, this should be standard for any amp with a DI out.
So, when you're playing a gig do you use the DI from the Ampeg or from a DI box on your pedal board? Thanks!
Usually I send the DI from my Ampeg to front of house. I typically only use the DI on my pedalboard if I'm ampless.
Acoustic bass combo line all comes with with the DI level.
Markbass combo's have indepedent volume controls but are above price range of the mentioned combo's 😕
The Orange Terror Bass has the same problem of the master changing the DI output level.
Otherwise it's an awesome amp though.
Mesa walkabout, markbass lm3....
MarkBass has separate volume/ master knobs.
I got unsubbed again goddammit! This time from both you AND Lobster
