ICOM IC-2100H Audio Difficulty - Repair

ICOM IC-2100H with audio problems. Audio sounds like a tin box.
- Test RX and TX audio quality.
- Test external speaker.
- Test internal speaker wires.

My audio is fine but my volume and squelch control are dirty / need cleaning. Ever done a video on that?

No video on that repair. I have had similar issues with volume and squelch potentimeters. Used DeoxIT D5 to quickly and safely fix them. Good luck with your repair.

My 2100 can receive and have squelch and you can hardly hear it,but there is no audio at all,hooe you can help me,thanks

The speaker is 8 ohm 5 watt

My 2100 has no sound coming out of the speaker but external speaker works fine

You could have a bad speaker. Using alligator leads - connect a spare speaker to the Icom speaker terminals (you don't have to remove the original speaker). Turn on the radio and check to see if there's an audio signal in the speaker wires. Let me know what you find.
