Just wanted to see the 4200 series with engine cover off. Looks like the cylinders section is still flat but the extra space created by a sloping cover is used for loosely connected items. So the sloping cover seems to be solely for easier movement through the air at higher speed rather than a cover for an intentionally sloped engine-block.
@@Oisin1990 easy to say when you've never done it before 😂 I just looked it up, maybe you can tell me if I'm right... You find the nipple to bleed the breaks (it's a case tractor, know where they usually are?) Then, loosen it and connect a tube to the nipple. The other end of the nipple should be in some sort of bottle with more break fluid in it... Start the tractor and use/pump the breaks until all the bubbles are finished coming out. All the time making sure main resovouir has plenty of hydraulic fluid in it Am I right?
I got a guy bought one the same here in Canada about 6 years ago ,with a loader. was a one owner tractor it's been a pain in the ass with about 3000 odd hrs on now. There was some factory known problems that wasn't done on warranty when newer, so he had that go wrong. So make sure that stuffs been done if needed ,it cost him some money over a few years. It hadn't had the coolant changed at regular intervals and it dumped all the coolant in the sump when it ate the timing case. That was a prick job getting it apart as bolts were corroded/ snapped off in the block. The front axle had to come forward to get the crank pulley off, it's a front suspension model he has. I don't know if others are the same to do it. But that timing case can be a Perkins problem that crops up in google searches. it's got some rodent caused electrical issues and one of the control boxes and some wire looms need changing in the cab for the electronic spools. those are update parts that are expensive as the original stuffs obsolete if the updates are now even still available ,and it needs an MF computer expert and laptop to set up this one after fitting it all. He bought this to replace a 90hp Landini Ghibli that was his main loader tractor and beat to $#!te, and thats actually been more reliable since apart from it eats a clutch every 2 years or so. The electrical plugs on that old girl are corroding giving some simple problems on a 20 year old non computer tractor, but at least it will still run even if it has to be tow started. Overall that Masseys been a 50 grand disappointment for him, and he'll swear about it to, everytime something that may just be simple goes wrong when he needs it . I'm kinda hoping he just got the bad one, they aren't real popular models round here.
Phil you are a grand lad but you shouldn't continually dis your uncle.. Saying he allowed dust in here dug rocks here and knackered tractor. He doesn't row grass correctly and so on etc etc.. Phil family is gold you shouldn't air your problems on this platform its not right or fair.. Other than this your channel is great...

Great video phil fair play to u and ur dad 😊
It would be very handy to have a workshop to do that in😉😉
And Phil said in the 6499 delivery vid "that's the last time I'll be in this tractor '🤣
A few videos on tidying that workshop would get a lot of views I'd say. Might help with the motivation. (No Angel here neither).
Good video Phil
Farmer phil your top
How do you bleed the breaks? We have to do it on our tractor. I'd do it if I knew how
@@kevinleonard62 11:32 he mentions he has to bleed the breaks.
Look it up on UA-cam . It’s simple enough aslong as the nipples to let the air out are not seized or broken

I see a load of black turf in behind the tractor there , I thought the father said he had no time for turf lol

Is the 6290 in the workshop next?
Why split someone else’s tractor when you could be working on the tractor in the shed ?
He said in another comment they’ll hopefully start it in the next month or so
That's what u do for a mate that's is stuck as usually d favour will be returned. It's called helping 😉

Hello
Not put a clutch in when down that far
Weren't you smart getting rid of it before the clutch went😉
Too many adverts!
Ads in your videos very annoying 😡😡😡
I've noticed lately that most videos have ads every few minutes. You're right very annoying but this one only had one lot surprisingly.
UA-cam changed its add policy and is putting midroll adds into all videos over 8mins
Good idea fix another lads tractor get him going, leave your own parked up for a decade!
