I’m always happy to see a new video from you Johnny. Good luck this season!
Glad to see you're still around man, 🙏🇺🇲 Love my Echo PAS 2620 and Echo 9010T backpack blower. Milwaukee hedge trimmer is trash. I use the Makita XHU07T cordless hedge trimmer.
Thank you my man
Glad to see you on the Tube again! Nice Grandstand!
Thanks my man. The grandstand is my favorite mower.
Great seeing a video from you Johnny. Best of luck to you this season and stay safe out there! God bless🌱
Thanks my man.
You sound like me with transitioning from mowing, but mine is to pressure washing. I’m taking no new mowing and landscaping, just washing. 2 years is my goal too. Great money in fertilizing and weed control too. 👍
That’s awesome. No more mowing no more mowing lol
@@JohnnyMow True. I still like to mow,but as I get older I realize I need a business that is easier on me plus it is alot more profitable running solo.
@@jonboysprowash7845 you are very corect
Soft washing is the way to go.No more mowing!
@@577buttfan 💯 💯💯👍
Thanks for posting! Best of luck this season… really wish the rainy cold start to the season would normalize.
I’m partial to our 48” mowers. Too many gates a 52 won’t fit but the 48 will. And the time savings of a 52 vs 48 on a few big properties is negligible.
We had a record week last week and it would be nice to have another 5 day work week!
I had a record week also. I think of you often my friend
@@JohnnyMow feel free to call anytime! It’s awesome to see your service offering mix change.
Turfware thoughts?
@@JohnnyMow the jury is still out.
I switched back to the ECHO on 770 this year for my daily use. I was using the 8010 everyday, but it is having some carb issues and I haven’t had time to fix it. The 770 is a little slower at cleaning things off, but it starts right up with 2 pulls, doesn’t need time to warm up or anything. With the 8010 I would need to pull 3 or 4 times and then sit and wait for it to warm up on every lawn. I am finding the 770 is saving me a bunch of time over the course of the day. It think the companies with several crews could learn some things about efficiency from some of these solo guys out here. If we want to make top dollar we have to be hyper efficient. Just yesterday I mowed a lawn at the same time a two man crew was mowing the neighbor. We started at the same time. The lawn were basically equal except the back of both lawns were very wet. They did weedeat the wet spot, but I did. I did my lawn in the same time it took them to do theirs. When I pulled away they were still sitting there. If we were both charging a $1 per minute per man I am at $40 and they are at $80. It sure did few good to pull away before they did.
Efficiency is key. Having the right tools is absolutely a must
Glad to see you are back on your UA-cam channel there young man 😎
Thank you
@@JohnnyMow you are welcome young man 😎 be safe out there
Nice to see you post a video! I bought my 2016 Lazer Z brand new and still use it to this day and I love it. I would say about 80% of crews are running wright standers around here and I absolutely hate them. The cut quality is horrible, they are not comfortable to use and just a poorly designed unit. I will gladly drive 45 minutes to my Exmark dealer and buy another Exmark when the times comes.
Exmark is def the cats meow when it comes to cuttting. I think Ed designed a great stander tho.
I love the pb770. It's my favorite blower it's perfect for almost everything except heavy large leaf cleanups. It's great. Unfortunately mine got retired this year as it was about 5 years old and I decided to upgrade again to new. No one seemed to have any new ones available to buy around here so had to go with a stihl br800 to replace it. Oh well. I use the big echo backpacks for leaves
It seems everyone has equipment issues everywhere you go your out
Should have just kept the 770 going.
when time permits please do more fertilizing videos, I'm trying to do more on that end as well and would like to learn as much as I could
Thank you!!!👍
I will try
I basically just asked same thing lol
Good to see you’re out and about making that money Johnny!
You are gonna have to change the name to Johnny Fert instead of Johnny mow 😂.
Jm turf care
great video Johnny, have a great season
Halfway through the first quarter already haha.
First qt rough
Setup is looking good…….liking the Ferris spreader💯
It’s a good spreader
hey hey jonny
Owned a 36” grandstand with the kawi FS541v. Great machine, rides great, cuts great, etc. power was very low compared to other machines I’ve owned. Traded it for a 2022 bobcat quickcat 36 with a kawi fx600v and what a difference.
That is a ton of power for that bobcat you brush hog with it lol
Johnny Mow salute!
Glad to see you brother 🤙
Thanks my man
💪🤜🤛😎 It’s that time Johnny 💵💵💵 Have a great week my Brother!!
I’ve only had one week without rain since March 15 it’s been a rough start
Been a minute my pa counterpart
I know right
If you come to a new lawn in the spring do you still use slow-release or fast release since your not mowing it and all the customer wants to see is its green and growing?
Always slow always. Better results longer.
Thanks for posting, the best of the best in the game
Thanks
Toro Grandstands are nice. Cool to see and hear you thinking of the transistion from mowing to fertilizing. Speaking of fertilizing I actually just got my machine stuck today. UGH
I have not done that yet
I like the grand stand
Love it man and your opinions
I wanted to say be careful with just fertilizing, I would like to do the same thing but would be nervous if they crack down on it, you know like save the environment people, i feel like eventually they will put restrictions on weed control and fertilizing, who knows
That’s my dream mower. I use the timemasters now. Gotta step up. How’s the 52 on hills I live in your area so I know we both got some hills.
Going up not to good side to side wow it’s the best
@@JohnnyMow wow that’s awesome to hear. I mow side to side with a TimeMaster 😂😂 I don’t trust going up and down anyway
So are you completely getting out of mowing for fertilizer? I’m getting my commercial applicator card this winter. I’m in Ohio so you have to have it. And honestly I need the info from the classes because I don’t know all that much about fertilizer. Do you use same fertilizer for every lawn or it depends??? Any info will help.
Always fertilize to thicken the lawn apply weed control when necessary
Johnny Mow salute! 💪
nice to see a video from you. I think you need to change your name to Johnny fert.
Yah man. Fertilizing is the way.
My man.
I'm slowly getting out of mowing and into soft house washing. Not getting any younger.
Great decision
time to swap that pos pathfinder out for a turfware
That pos made a lot of money
We missed you Johnny Mow hope you are doing well if l was a younger man and not an old fart l would buy a Grandstand 52 or 60 great machine unfortunately l only need a 36 Stander and a 60 / 48 ztr take care my friend 😁
What ever it takes to bring in the money
Go with the Turfware it’s hands down the best out there! And there team is awesome! Any questions or issues there on it for you! It has been a GameChanger for me!
I demoed one I was a little Leary of it.
Chaos chaos chaos. Johny is a cool guy and his videos are entertaining when he’s just talking in his garage, but if you are new at Lawn Care and you’re looking for guidance, Johny is not your guy. He is all over the place. If you try to pattern your business after him based off of one of his videos or what he’s doing in a particular season, the next video or season he will be doing something totally different and saying what he is doing at that certain point in time is the best thing in the world to do. Just watch Johnny for entertainment, but not for actual long-term advice or guidance
I would have disagree. Johnny is a very wise person. If you go back and watch old videos, maybe you won't pattern your business off of him, but he gives solid advice especially for solo guys. His videos about deck talk are especially good as he has run basically all brands and knows what decks cut the best. Also hus business advice is very solid. His spring rush trap videos are something that everyone starting out and even veterans should all watch or be reminded of. Keep up good work Johnny
@@gg32484 Wise, yes steadfast and consistent, no. All over the place
26 years in my man I’ve paid a lot of bills doing this business. 26!!!!
@@JohnnyMow yes, you do good for your own particular situation. I’m just saying that no one should really watch you and try to pattern after you because you can be all over the place and switch up so much. By the time they got settled in and was doing what you were doing at a certain point in time, you would have almost totally changed and be going down a different road with probably different equipment. After watching you for a while, I just want you to see what you are up to and for entertainment, not for any sort of guidance really
@@theallaroundguy2399 I switch up to try and see what equipment best works for my situation. You don’t know until you know. I want everyone to get to that point if you want to buy a completely diffrent set up you can. Most guys are broke in this business. I try to show there is another way. I might sell all of that and go to another brand why would I do that because I can. I’m not stuck in life
Hey Johnny, what hp engine is on the Grandstand?
22 and it’s not enough
There’s no grease fittings on that grandstand?
There was a bunch on my 2020 toro grandstand
Nope just one you do once a year. Love that sucker.
Do you compete against trugreen?
Yes
no ferris snapper?
Just the spreader sprayer
Do you bag any customers or do you straight mulch?
No
Where's the isx 2200 and snapper?
Sold them
@@JohnnyMow why?
@@shanepipkin4041 just wanted to make a change the snapper was old. And the Ferris could not stay on the hills
@@JohnnyMow I put 1 inch spacers on me 930 deere and 2200 ferris made a big difference on hills and lines stripe stripe
@@shanepipkin4041 cool I will have to check into that
MOWNATION
Will you change the name of your business when you get out of mowing?
I’m really thinking about it. Jm turf care since the jm is already there in the logo.
have to start calling you Johnny Fert instead of Johnny Mow
sell me the grease gun
Lol. I’m too lazy to ever pump again. Lol
