- Baking open headlights, swapping OEM halogen Stanley projectors for Morimoto 4TL-R HID Projector retrofit. I am using Denso slim ballast (D4S) out of my IS250. I also use the Denso slim D2S on this car but since I took the Osram CBI bulbs out of my Lexus, I chose to use the D4S for now. When I have to replace, I will go back to D2S with Osram CBI or CBB.
These Stanley projectors are used on many cars including the Odyssey, 4th Gen TL, Accord, GMC Canyon, GMC Colorado Terrain, Mazda 3 and 6, Subaru WRX/Impreza/Legacy, and many others.
I usually get my parts from theretrofitsource.com or lightwerkz.net during their holiday sales. Lightwerkz actually sells their Osram bulbs cheaper on eBay than on their own site.

Other options are finding these used on eBay for around $200/ea but probably damaged.
If you don't already have D4S ballasts, I recommend doing D2S as the bulbs and ballast options are much cheaper.
If you also need ballasts, the cream of the crop aftermarket is the Hylux 2A88 for $90/set - ebay.to/36MCu1u
The Hylux are the most trusted aftermarket ballast with performance of OEM. Most headlight builders only use this model. These also are CANBUS friendly so no error codes on most cars.
With any headlight upgrade, consider a ceramic coating to protect the lens before install. I use a ceramic coating like Armorshield IX from AvalonKing.

Nice project 👍 I have a 2015 Sienna SE in black and some dark blue color anyways I would like to take the lights apart and change the projector just like you did and change the DRLs to a blinkers like you said and if you can send me the link to the video that'll be awesome. What size rubber seal did you use? Tempted to do this on my SE in the future.
I used some butyl sealant from a roll on my previous retrofits. See link in description...its like $12 on Amazon.

So I have the dtmoto headlights for my 3gs. I'm not impressed with the projector on these because they aren't that wide. Do you think the 4TL-R projector will fit? Also, will the stock d4s bulb fit these projector?
They fit D2 or D4. No idea on direct fitment of projector.
Damn dude. Thats a lot of work. i would just put the LEDS. Plug and play. Your more brave than me to do all that lol. Do you work on other peoples cars ?
It’s the proper way to not blind people and have best output on the road. There’s a niche of people who like this hobby. I only work on my own cars and family/friends stuff. No time for much else.

It's not that hard. I've opened headlights with a heatgun. Just takes patience.
Can these be done on an hid version of the headlights?
Yes it fits HID. Good upgrade.
What did you do for the high beams ?
These are Bi-Xenon. High beams already integrated into the projector (shield drops) so I have dual high beams.
How long did it take you from removing the front bumper to putting the front bumper back on?
This project takes time. If you’re a novice, expect it to be an all day or 2 day job.
Binh Nguyen-Tuner with Kids sounds good. I’m more scared of the bumper removal and all the plastic tabs that are going to break.
They are durable. Nothing is breaking if you do it right. I have a Sienna bumper video.
