Just wanted to say that our family was there on the 28th of October. And wanted to send big thanks for all the information you put up on past videos to make our trip more informative. We took your advice on a lot of things we saw and did not only at Dollywood but pigeon forge as well. It was a very expensive day at Dollywood and a once in a lifetime trip for our family. The smoky mountains were amazing to see. Tennessee was a beautiful place to visit with such friendly people. Loved the Island on trick or treat night. Thanks again for your hard work that goes into every video. God’s blessings to your family.
We enjoyed the video. We usually like the food here at the Celebration Hall. We like to get there when it opens so the food is not picked over as much but you eat when you can. The food looked good here on this day. We agree that Aunt Granny’s is better over all but a fantastic option to eat at Celebration Hall if Aunt Granny’s is busy.
Love your videos! We’re from West Virginia but have a residence near Douglas Lake and come down multiple times a year. We like coming to Dollywood now that our little girl is old enough to enjoy the rides and always look forward to your videos! I’ve started planning our day by your videos lol.
We've done both the buffet and Aunt Grannie's many times. By the time we're hungry, we don't want to wait that long at Aunt Grannie's. We've never been disappointed with the buffet and we like the fact that it's never crowded when we've gone. Thanks for the honest review.
We mentioned that there is no reservations needed and we have never had to wait to pay/get a seat. Is it as good as any Granny's, no. But on a busy day, their is some great food options back here!
Big family reunion coming in December! 19 of us! This looks perfect for our large group!!! Hoping to run into y'all around Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg while we're in town - huge fan of your channel!! Can i say Hi if i see you out n about??
I agree. I went there years ago and there was more walking around and there was things to do. And a lot of food. But as far as the atmosphere, there was nothing that stood out to me. It’s just a fancy place to go and eat.
There's a convenience store out of Pennsylvania that's doing a big expansion and there going to be building stores in the Nashville Tennessee area the name of the store is called wawa and every year from October through December they make a turkey gobbler hoagie it has turkey gravey mashed potatoes stuffing and cranberry relish on it its called the gobbler and they also do the gobbler in the bowl to which is turkey gravey mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes stuffing and cranberry relish and wawa just opened some stores in north Carolina to there in the outer banks and I just saw they opened up in Elizabeth city north Carolina and rocky top or rocky mount north Carolina
I'm sorry, you definitely need gravy for turkey and stuffing can't believe they didn't have gravy. Just my opinion thanks for sharing this video. Keith and CC
@@shellychandler2040 They were there 1st thing when it opened as I came in to say hi after getting a photo of the menu. We were here at 3:30 in the afternoon on Saturday when the park was much busier.
Thank you for this insightful review of the food at Dollywood. I would have thought that the Hall you ate in would be more colorful with more red & green present. The decorations themselves looked very bland. I always think of Dollywood as being extremely colorful, much like the lady herself.
My favorite part of the video was when Thing made a cameo when you were sampling your first plate of food!😂 Not going to lie the way the chafing dishes were not being maintained was a huge turn off . If I was going to consider eating there it would be when it first opened. Nothing looked appealing with everything being neglected.
We just tried to be gracious and patient, we were not in a hurry to catch a show. There were many people that were issued a refund while we were there and they closed down the line as they got so backlogged. I talked to another channel who was reviewing it the day before who went here right when they opened. I understand the logic to show everything nice & pretty and perfectly stocked, but this is just reality when they bring food from a different location here, if not stayed on top of there could be delays getting certain items restocked on busy days.
We love the atmosphere. Guess it just depends on individual taste. The family style for our large family just works. Waiting for restaurants is not something our kids (or me) have the temperament for
The holiday meals that the park offered over the decades since the early 2000’s has gotten so large over the past decade, due to how many people, not just nationwide but worldwide come to the park that they have to seat you in an overflow section. It’s nowhere near as “magical” as it was from what I hear (I’ve never actually been to the buffet).
I use gloves at buffets. When I think how many people touch the spoons it grosses me out. Lol. But I do have an autoimmune disease so I have to be careful.
Did they put “Cousin Eddie” from Vacation in charge of food services? I can’t believe Dolly would approve the selection of food and how it’s being presented. Hot Dogs?My money would be better spent at CiCi’s. Still love you guys though. Always great content
This is the 4th iteration of this buffet we have reviewed. They had added hot dogs to give more options for kids. These are actually the best looking hotdogs we have seen so far. Thanks!
We just tried our best to present what what we saw & experience for people to make their own decision. This is in the middle of the day, not when they 1st open.
Ryan and Brie, really admire the both of you and your family! I intend to stay a fan and subscribed to your channel but my answer to is it worth it? No! Again I'll say, with all the other options in the surrounding communities, Dollywood is to expensive all around, especially for the elderly retired.
Thanks DrSweat! They have actually kept the gold ($224) and silver ($149) passes the same price over the last 3 years which is surprising with all of the inflation we have seen in our country over that time.
Well you have my permission not to go! If I lived near Dollywood I would visit as often as I could. If you are short on cash take a part time job instead of complaining.
@@AdventureIsOutThere Agreed! If I lived in the area (and I wish I did) something like that would be a possibility. I don't like posting negatives to your video's. My wife and I have just hit the 70's and always have to be careful to make our income fit our needs. We are fans of you and your family so keep doing what you do! May nothing but the best God has to offer ever find it's way to your door!
@@DrSweat I completely understand living within your budget and understand some budgets are tighter than others! Thanks for the support, it means a lot!
I am a very good food preparer. I can say that the food looks disgusting for it to have Dolly's name on it. They don't keep it clean looking or well stocked. Thanks for sharing so I won't waste my money there.
We eat before and after we go to the park. Why bother with mediocre food, long lines, and high prices when there are so many options before and after entering the park.
Gee. Low quantity of many fresh trays of food. Not appealing. Aunt Granny’s looks more appetizing. J & B did celebration hall two days ago and were not satisfied with the menu and the very blah choices.
I was walking the park and came by the celebration hall to take a photo of the menu to post to our FB page and came by their table and said hi to them. I completely understand wanting to film everything right when they open & I was tempted to do the same the next day, but opted to not change our schedule & just go by and walk as we normally would for an early dinner. As we said, they food was not bad. We really liked the ham, green beans, etc. They just seemed to be swamped with trying to serve a special event next door & it being a VERY busy Saturday during Sevier County Days. We just tried to be gracious and patient, but there were a number of people who were very upset and got full refunds as they closed the door not allowing anyone else inside until the were able to restock. I wouldn't expect that would be the norm as I am would assume they would make adjustments with how much & how often they restock the buffet. But just trying to share our experience honestly & kindly as we can.
Dollywood doesn’t have that Southern charm anymore, it’s been lost since they stopped hiring locals! The trash cans are overflowing, the buffet looks disgusting and no turkey is unacceptable! You guys continue to say how crowded when clearly throughout your review it’s not busy at all! Your review is misleading! I have spoken to many of the staff members, and I love the mix of people that are employed at Dollywood. I think it shows Dollys love for all people. She’s famous for loving and accepting people of all backgrounds. I was excited to once again get a pass for a new year!
This food doesn’t look good!!! It’s out of everything and they seem to let everything dry out and they should be r he king out on the floor constantly. I think as much you paid I would request a refund!!

Let's hope it wasn't cousin Vickie stirring up the mashed potatoes 😂
The should rename it to the Salvation Army Holiday Buffet. 🤣🤣
Back it up Terry!

My wheelchair does that backup beep too. I HATE it and feel terrible when there's people around - it's so annoying

I think Dollywood rushing Christmas
Last year they opened on the 5th, opening on the 1st gave them the shortest turn around time we have ever seen.
Theme parks in general start their Christmas celebrations right after Halloween. Nothing to get upset over.
