Hi Stefan, Thank you for the kind words 🙏. Yes, a huge amount of work. I shot two days and failed. Did it again on the third day. 600 GB of 4K data and an iMac Pro form 2017 that is super but this was a bit too much. It took 18 hours of continuous editing in Final Cut Pro X. I tried a new way of editing with multi cam angles and it makes life a bit easier. I finished on Thursday morning at 03:22. I will never forget this day because when I got back in the living room it was like all the lights were on: the moon was that bright. And... I looked at my watch at 03:23, checked google and it was a full moon at exactly that moment. Karma! Should I make such an effort? Financially probably not because I'll never earn the time I spend on it but I love every bit of this shoot and my way of reviewing stuff. Your comment is priceless to me and you probably didn't realize when you wrote it. Thanks so much! Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs.
I've been going trough most of your reviews and your channel is insanely underrated. Your in depth reviews and presentation demeanour is simply outstanding!
You actually made me buy one of those tents . I bought a 7cp and i use it all the time. most expensive and best tent i have ever bought i love it. Love from Sweden :D
Hi Dale, Thanks for the nice comment and sharing your thoughts and experience! Sweden is a great place! Enjoy the tent, the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs
In Cold temperatures it’s better to attach small carabiners to the Floor instead of using the toggles. It’s way quicker setup and you don’t get frostbite. I got the Safir9cp with Pro Floor, Fleece Floor, Mesh Inner Tent, Porch,4-dog UL-2 Stove. Love it and it withstands high winds.
I have a tentipi, so i scrolled through most og the video. But the parts og the video i did see, was really good. Wery informative and good citique of the things that are not top notch. Great video, and deffinately subbed🤙
Well done mate. Very informative. You have a new subscriber. Thanks for this exhaustive review. I’m a solo canoe camper with a wee dog. This tent is the one I’ll be buying this year.
Great video. Thanks for making these.. I’m 183cm and have been considering neither the 5 or the 7… I want to comfortably stand up so the 7 is the way to go. Thanks heaps for your work!!
Great review I’ve been looking at the Safir for some time now and could never decide on the 5 or 7 but after this review it’s made my mind up. Il be having a number 5 as I’m on my own most of the time other than a dog. But for the occasional times a guest comes with me the 5 is still a great option for me plus the winnerwell stove medium would f it the bill perfectly. So thanks for the time you put into this video it’s been really helpful in me making a choice thanks Ian 🏴👍
Great video Gijs. I also look here in the Netherlands to Safir 5 CP, and i agree with you. It is a fantastic tent, but when you are taller ( i am 180 cm) this tent is not ideal. Go for the 7 CP you have more space in the height. But i stay with my Oztent RV.
Hi Raymond, Thanks for the compliment! OZtent.... did you bay it online or is there a distributer/retailer in NL. I am curious 🤗 Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs.
Hi Mahon, Not really but that can be because maybe different circumstances... Condensation between floor and a different sleeping pad for example. Do have one and suffer from a wet floor? Cheers, Gijs
@@OutdoorguruGearReviews No I don't have one, I'm considering buying one so thats why I asked. I live in Ireland where the ground is pretty much moist all year round. maybe a simple footprint will solve any possible issues
Hey Gijs, I am considering buying a Safir CP9 for off-grid living (while restoring a derelict old cottage). As this would mean permanently living in the tent, I am considering building a wooden platform as flooring. I would like to build it totally enclosed within the tent. Is tentipi giving instruction on how to integrate a platform with their tent? Do you think the skirt and guyline would be long enough to accommodate the extra height of the platform? Many thanks for your help and the videos!!!
Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs.
I find tentipis stove to be overkill, and way too heavy, for the tentipi nr 5. In the nr 7 and 9 its a great stove though. I use a 4-dog stove thats only 4,5 kg in the nr 5, thats a good size but there are some winnerwell stoves and some from seek outside is probably quite good too.
I do fancy a tipi to support my small camper travels , but I don’t think I’d buy one without a sealed ground sheet, bitten by creepy crawlies last time I used a ground sheet like this 😂
@@OutdoorguruGearReviews oh they do 😂 maybe I’m tasty 😂 I just got rid of a tent that had a ground sheet but wasn’t fastened only a few toggles around the edges I have found 1 tipi that I’d like to look at that does . So fingers crossed
Thanks for this thorough, exhaustive and balanced review. Dont need to know more. A lot of work must have gone in to this!

Always wanted one of these for family fjäll trips. Weight is ok if you are at least 3-4. Very expensive though but clearly very well made
They last pretty long so price is worth it in the end. Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs
great review! thank you. one question ... Did you find that the floor was getting wet from underneath? like in your review of the 2 cp.

Or just a construction piece of plastic you find in a DIY store. Stamp a few rings in it and you are good to go.
Good one! Thanks from Sweden.

Maybe you are 😉. But I there are better floors available than the one from tentipi. Or maybe use a inner tent...
Plus I’m similar height to yourself so the 5 is great 🏴
Just don't take one to Scotland, you'll get eaten alive !
