Thank you so much. You did awesome 👏🏼 with both explanations. I was going to watch someone else. But 🤨🤨 she was talking more about her shirts & other things to buy from her. I just wanted too know how to cook corn. I am happy you explained we could cook it with or without the husk.
Tried it today with 8 ears of fresh corn, and it was awesome!! We ate 2 of the 8 with our dinner, and I will vacuum the other ears individually and put them in freezer for another day! Thank you, you made it simple and the IP made it easy-peasy!!!
I know this is old now, but still very relevant and still super helpful. I just tried it and it was every bit as good as you said it would be. So I have subscribed 👍🏼
Another great cooking video... I learned so much from you cooking with my IP. I keep track of your videos so I can refer to them over again as much as needed. BTY, your daughter did a great job making cookie hats. I'm sure you must be very proud of her.... Thank again for the time and resources it takes to make one of these most informative videos for all whom watch....
I appreciate that Pete! I love hearing you save my recipes to refer to! Also, I am proud of Layla :) She has fun doing videos and takes it very seriously!
@@AMindFullMom say that 10 times fast 😂😂😂. Great video. I'm gonna make mexican street corn and use this method. But I'm gonna have the grill on high and get a little bit of char on the corn after the instant pot.
I don't use the trivet when I'm boiling corn on the cob in my Instant Pot. I put the corns into the pot, then add water to just barely cover them, add onion, garlic, green seasoning, salt, black pepper, and hot peppers. They're NOT bland at all but extremely delicious!
Hi Rachael! Using hot water will make the instant pot come to pressure faster, but it also can change the cooking time needed. For corn, it isn't a huge deal, but things like potatoes, rice, oats, etc, it makes a really big difference.
OK now you've got me confused your video says with the husks on and cook for 2 minutes then a few seconds later it says if you left the husks go to 3 or 4 minutes so which one is it?

@@judidunham5037 then you best order out... It's not quantum physics. The husked corn will cook faster. Did you know that it's best not to drive a car with your eyes closed? Or is that too complicated for you to understand with out instruction?
@A Mind Full Mom your written instructions are not what you said. You said 2 minutes with husk on or 4 minutes with husk on. (You might need to re-record it since you simply said husk on twice) but your video is a lifesaver if you figure out the obvious that with the husk on, it will have to cook longer. Blessings.
I’m sure I’ve watched this more than once; great instruction and helpful tips on cooking with or without shucks. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
I tried this method last night, and it was a hit! Thank you! Your instructions were clear and very easy for this newbie to follow.

Same! Trying now for the first time. 😬😬😬 I'll let you know how goes it. If the news in Chicago says a house blew up with corn ya know it's me. 😂😂

So with husk off 2 minutes? You did both with on
Sorry for that confusion! Husk off for 2 minutes, husk on 3 minutes.
Grazie mille!
Are they husks or shucks. ?
I think you shuck the husk?!! LOL

You said husk on for both cooking methods. ???
That was a slip I didn't catch! Sorry! With husks OFF 2 minutes, With husks on 3-4 minutes.
Hi, thanks.
No problem
So, you totally said 2 minutes if the husks are on, and then immediately said 3-4 minutes if you leave the husks on!
Right! My bad! 2 minutes WITHOUT husks
@@AMindFullMom that's what i figured you must have meant!
I use hot water. Cook time is faster for it to come to a pressure and it tastes the same. To each and their own. Great video ❤️
Hi Rachael! Using hot water will make the instant pot come to pressure faster, but it also can change the cooking time needed. For corn, it isn't a huge deal, but things like potatoes, rice, oats, etc, it makes a really big difference.
You look just like my moms Hospice nurse. She’s an angel
Hospice nurses are angels indeed. Sending you love and prayers for mom.
Gonna try husk on, hopefully less work, lol, what about leftovers, i bought too much, lol, ok to freeze? On or off cob? Thnx
I would personally cook first, then remove from cob to freeze--however, you can freeze on cob if you prefer it that way.
Thnx, will give it a try 😉🤗😷 stay safe
OK now you've got me confused your video says with the husks on and cook for 2 minutes then a few seconds later it says if you left the husks go to 3 or 4 minutes so which one is it?
You can cok with or without husks. 2 minutes with husks removed, 3-4 minutes if you leave the husks off.
If I heard you right you gave two different times both w/the hush on. I think I know what you meant though.
I totally did on accident. Only 2 minutes for husked corn.
Did she say 2 minutes with the "husks on" and 4 minutes with the husks on? a mistake? I think it should be 2 minutes with the husks off, no?
Correct! 2 minutes with husks off, 4 with them on. Sorry about that!

You gave directions for "Husk on" both times 🤷♀️
I know, I am so sorry. The shorter time is for husks OFF
It's ok.....I had to watch 3 times b/c I thought I was losing ut 😂@@AMindFullMom

I'm confused, both directions were with the husks on....I'm assuming you made a mistake and the 4 minutes were for husks OFF?
Correct
never said with the husks off timewise?
4 minutes :)
Will this make it soft like KFC corn?
I have not had KFC corn, so I can't compare. Sorry. This is soft, yet still crisp tender.
Wait. Didn’t you just give the same time for both on and off?
No, 2 minutes for husked corn and 3 minutes if husk is left on. I hope you enjoy Chris
Yes, she said “husk on” for both. Then she set her timer for 4 minutes and it looked like her husks were off. I’m so confused. 😂

So to quote the video lol To cook corn on the cob with the husks ON 2 mins and to cook corn on the cob with the husks ON 3 - 4 mins lol??
Slip of the tongue, that I didn't catch! Sorry! With husks OFF 2 minutes, With husks on 3-4 minutes.
Taking two star off for the Husk on/husk off time confusion
Hi Pete. I am sorry if I was unclear. For corn with husks: 2-3 minutes. For corn with husks removed 1 minute.
