Finally a tutorial with grown baby that’s not a newborn! I watched so many tutorials and they’re way too fast and most of them use bay dummies or newborn, not baby that actually move around when you try to put them in a ring sling. Thank you!!
I seriously tried so many tutorials to understand how to use a ring sling - they were all too fast, had distracting music, or weren’t well-lit. This video quality, the speed, and your gentle expertise were exactly what I took for me to finally get it! Thank you SO much for this video!
Thank you so much for uploading this. Ring sling is so perfect for a hot hot summer like the one we have in New Zealand. My baby is smaller than yours and I struggle to keep her knees up high. She always straightens them back down lol
What age can we start using the ring sling as opposed to a stretchy wrap? My son is 5 weeks and I'm looking forward to graduating to the sling so I can nurse him in it.
Ring slings only have one layer, so they should be made of a woven fiber. Cotton works. Knitted fabrics are stretchy so they typically need three layers to hold baby (and they still don’t hold quite as much weight). You can make wraps out of those, like Moby wraps. They’re also made of fibers like cotton, but the knit reduces the weight they can handle because they’ll pull across both axes at once when worn.
I got a ring sling a few weeks ago. I used a Mobie wrap with my first but found with my second child I didn't have the patience to wrap it. I've been struggling with the ring sling since I got it. Can't get kiddo position correctly, sling is too loose then too tight, doesn't feel natural or comfortable, kiddo is too close to the rings, etc. I guess my biggest question is: is kiddo supposed to be on your side in the same place you would carry them in your arms on your hip? Or are they in the front but off to the side slightly? Is their leg supposed to be wrapped around you side slightly or still in front? Kiddo is almost 4 months and I just can't get kiddo situated no matter how many of these tutorial videos I watch.
I think you may be struggling with this carrying position because most babies at 4 months aren't quite ready in muscle stability and control to comfortably hip carry.
That's my baby! He does great in it. The only change I make, is to tuck the tail under the top rail (kind of twisted under the rail) to make a little head cushion for him. It's just a bit more comfortable for his head.
I've personally found it's best to use a ring sling when a child has better head control, around 5 months or older. I've used knit or woven wraps to carry infants as they can be tied to provide head support. I'm not an expert, so there may be more ways to use a ring sling that I don't know about yet
Do you re-use it or do you prep it each time from Scratch. I dont have a ringsling yet, and if it is reusable I want to buy one because it's fast to grab if my little baby needs comforting
Jemma is the true star of this video

Super thanks from indonesia❤
What type of material should it be made of a cotton or stretchy jersey?
Ring slings only have one layer, so they should be made of a woven fiber. Cotton works.
Knitted fabrics are stretchy so they typically need three layers to hold baby (and they still don’t hold quite as much weight). You can make wraps out of those, like Moby wraps. Cute baby..
My concern is if the baby/ toddler wiggles their legs, can they slip through the bottom? 😳
My baby did this today and I caught him. But granted I hadn't really put him in properly like this so I will make more effort next time. Whoops
That's great but how to use one for a newborn??

Does anyone know how to wear this in winter time ? Does one of those baby carrying jacket work with a ring sling?
I use the baby carrying sweater and jacket from Seraphine with the ring sling all the time!
Best video
Would this same carry work for a 3 month old with steady head and neck control?

Desde recién nacidos se puede usar o desde que edad ?

I’m wondering this too. I don’t start over every time, but I could be wrong
I reuse mine! Just make sure it's not twisted first
Me too, I also re-use it without the need to re-thread every time
@@briannabaskin1723 ohhh thanks so much, I ordered one and absolutely love my ringsling
@@melareilly6658 ohhh thanks so much, I ordered one and absolutely love my ringsling
