I’m obsessed with them. We have had loads in our house during the holidays since I was a miniature girl!
According to Scandinavian legends and tales, Gonks were powerful guardians protecting farms from potential catastrophes and misfortune. The small household defenders were notably believed to take care of the family and animals. In exchange for their hard work, Gonks liked to be rewarded with porridge and butter. The big gnomes are so darling! You bought so much christmas stuff again this year, I cannot wait for the house tour after you've finished decorating! I watch a lot of decorate with me's and christmas house tours, but I am definitely most excited about yours. You have so much decorations, and some may say you're a bit extra, but I LOVE IT! Makes christmas a little bit more special. If one cannot be childlike during the holidays, when can you? 😊

Hey girl! Your gnomes with just the nose sticking out is called a Tomten. It comes from Scandinavian winter and Christmas Folklore. There’s whole stories around this guy. I’m obsessed with them too. I have them all over my house at Christmas :)

There’s a recipe online it’s called reindeer chow you can look it up you make it in big batches and it would be great to go in the reindeer snacks thing if u want, it’s easy to make and it’s yummy 😋 it’s just powdered sugar Chex mix chocolate and peanut butter if u want

I've come to the conclusion that my hubby CANNOT know that I watch these videos of yours, because I always end up going shopping afterwards, hahaha!! Our storage issues are similar. it's getting ridiculous. I'm now vowing to get rid of one older thing for every newer thing I bring in....I just have to, it's gotten to that point now!

Hey Angie, love how you got a bunch of goodies! I used to work at homesense but was able to upgrade to my dream career! Lol but, the reason why we ask if you want a bag is because customers now have to pay for them, and if we don’t disclose that then it’s an legal issue. Also, before it switched to the customers paying for their bags, the cashiers would often get customers who thought it was stupid for us to put a big or small item in a bag. We often would be reminded of how destructive for the environment it is. So, I think now it’s just easier for the associates to ask whether or not the customer wants a bag. I know, it may sound odd to you we ask but for other customers it odd if we waste a bag for their items.... it’s also the same for us wrapping items in paper (it’s free though), so the safest things is to ask. Also, all of the founds from the bags goes to the conversation of Canada (something like that). Love your videos, and have fun decorating!

I'm watching and re-watching all your Christmas videos and initially wanted a holiday home like yours. I bought a tree for the bedroom. So now I have a 10-foot tree in the living room and a 7-foot tree in the bedroom. But oh my gosh I can't bring myself to shop for decor (I hate shopping in general, and especially around this time of the year), and I'm exhausted just thinking about the take-down and storage. 😂 So I have two beautifully minimalistic (just added a skirt + gifts) and cozy trees - they're enough for me and makes me happy having them. 😊 Thanks for the inspiration.

Wow! Love the big elves indeed! The name of these particular elves are "Tomte" (pronounced "Tumta") or "Nisse". They come from Scandinavian countries. You can definitely name them with nordic names, like Björn, Lars and Niels! 🥰 They are absolutely gorgeous! 💕 Cheers from a French girl in Mexico!
