Great review, indeed. I have liked this watch, and Helm in general, since they first showed up on the net. I hesitated on this one, as another respected reviewer said that the watch was simply too thick. I actually like the Komodo more than the other two models which are available. I say available, but I refer to the secondary market here in the states. I really appreciate your video, as it cemented my thoughts on the watch, as well as the thickness being ok for a tool watch. I stumbled across your review, but I will definitely be following your continued efforts. Thanks again...
Thank you for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it. The watch does seem thick but in relation to it's deceptive as it's diameter is smaller than most dive watches. On that note it is a dive watch and certified with details of pressure testing unlike many others even above this price point. It is of course all relative to your own likes and dislikes. For example. I hated the ultra thin ultra light quartz dress watch era, I like to feel the watch on my wrist but many loved them.

Hello! I finally received my new White Dial Komodo yesterday…long wait but worth it! Great review, watched it when you originally posted and again this morning. You nailed it…great, accurate review. Also, in you review there you show a mesh bracelet, looks great on it. What brand is the mesh band? 😬

The bracelet is a helm bracelet which I believe is used on the Vanuatu, when I ordered mine I requested this bracelet instead of the supplied one as I preferred it. I don't think they'll do that now but you can purchase them separately I think.
Agree with everything you said, it was a pain to get the strap on ( I ordered the same as yours ) but once sized it's absolutely great and comfortable too, love the small chunky look of this watch, she's built like a tank, and that lume, all you have to do is walk outside then come back indoors and it shines like a lighthouse absolutely amazing, thanks for the review

That's great. I saw the notification that they're producing another batch. I promise you will not be disappointed. It's a tank and I love mine. Out of all my watches this is the one I'd not bat an eyelid at getting submerged.
The bracelet is included along with the NATO strap but this bracelet is not the standard one supplied with the Komodo, it's from one of the other helm watches but they were kind enough to swap them when I ordered this and asked, I don't know if they'll do this now but you can order this as an extra.
Thank you, I've not tested it on the timegrapher since that initial review as I usually wear watches for 2 to 3 days at most some less before rotating them but I've never had to correct this one whilst wearing it. I'm very happy with it. Have no hesitation recommending it.
So far it's perfect. Very sturdy. Admittedly I have a few watches and I rotate regularly but I tend to wind up wearing this one for 2 or 3 days rather than just 1 and while I'm not careless about the watch I wear I don't baby them and sometimes they get knocked and caught on things, especially if I'm doing anything mechanical or disassembly / assembly related like you may have seen in my other videos. If I know I'm going to end up to my elbows in something dirty I'll always remove any watch first but sometimes you start something simple and before you know it you're up to your elbows. So far so good with this watch. Of the few microbrands I've bought or had a chance to look at so far, this thing is a tank and a good looking tank to boot.

I normally rotate watches daily but always end up wearing this one for longer. Have had it on the past 3 days in fact and just changed it. @@spidiq8 My Komodo was delivered today (black dial, BGW9). I'm honestly blown away by this watch. I really like it. I have the bracelet you show here en route for it. The stock bracelet does look better in person than in pictures IMO but the SS1 looks perfect for this watch to me. Plus I've always wanted an engineer bracelet.

I like the stainless steel strap, is it included in the purchase package or is it a separate order? Komodo 🇮🇩
