looking back at photos and stuff off Tom now knowing he had cancer changes a lot like for example I think here he is very skinny and looks a bit ill although when I first watched this video I never quite noticed Tom you were an amaizing guitarist and songwriter and will be missed

I remember sitting backstage, they're playing Nintendo DS (lol) and talking about wether they should continue school and get a degree or say fuck it and go all in for the band. Turned out for the best I guess since a few months later Ruin came out and the rest is history :)
It is really awesome how Tom achieve that tone with a low tuning in a 6 string, don't get me wrong, i think in this album some songs are in Drop F#, so it is pretty amazing.
I'm assuming Tom was using a baritone guitar, as well. The neck's got a 27" scale length (as opposed to something like 25.5"), and that coupled with a nice thick set of strings can make you hit notes almost a full octave lower than a standard 6-string guitar. I'm pretty sure Dave Young in the Devin Townsend project does something similar, actually. For some of the really low tuned stuff, he's playing a six string.
From the little I've heard, this album sounds fucking ridiculous. The song(s), emotion and production just sounds so on point. The sheer tone and energy is truly fucking amazing. Well done guys, been following you and seeing you at shows for ages. Can't wait. This is honestly what I imagine the apocalypse would sound like.
I remember seeing this video before Tom passed and thinking to myself how sickly he looked. At the time I didn't know he was facing cancer. I had a feeling he was sick because of how he looked. It really upset me that I was right in thinking something was wrong with his health.

So stoked you guys went back to Sweden for this one. Frederik's drum sound is my favourite in the world. It sounds like any drummer he records is performing in a stadium!

I started getting into Architects right as Daybreaker was coming out. To be honest, it was one of those situations where I feared having caught up a second too late- in the sense that I was getting on board with the band as they were peaking. I mean... how could they top Daybreaker? Then Lost Forever // Lost Together came out and they right shut me up. I felt it was another step forward. Now, I'm listening and checking out "All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us" and realize that these guys are on a path that will keep developing. I trust them, now. There is no looking back. Not only are they consistent, but they keep moving forward, pushing their sound. They steered clear of repetition while continually improving their sound. This, as many will vouch, is incredibly rare. Not only in Metal, but in the music industry altogether!
I comented 4 months ago asking if Tom's alright because I knew he was ill before and he looked unwell to me in this vid. I never wanted to be more wrong than now.. R.I.P. Legend
I hope this record will hit me like Daybreaker. That album was your best to date. For the sole reason that the album sounded varied, broad and every song was memorable.
daybreaker had awfull production fortunatelly lost forever and all our gods made an excellent sound and together with the bigger level on songwriting they manage to make one of the most amazing albums in metalocore.really a great band

Before this I was watching their previous documentary and couldn't tell between them, and when he was on frame I really noticed, so sad.
This was such an amazing album. Its follow-up was a banger as well. I listen to them both nearly every day.

sam is with the band since 2005 so now in 2006 it wasnt the old singer

I hated the previous two albums. Very run of the mill music. This album however has humbled me. It is an unbelievably well crafted album.
