Bless you. I have schizoaffective disorder. The flu makes me feel very strange and disassociated from reality. Gardening helps my illness, Stephen...and playing guitar. I also enjoy feeding birds and taking pictures of them with trail cams. If I want to watch them with binoculars I set up a driveway alarm to alert me when they arrive. Metal detecting helps too.
I had Covid 3 weeks ago. It was like the flu. However, between the lack of sleep, cold medicine and stress, I went into a mild psychosis. I almost went to the hospital! So glad you are feeling better and thank you for your videos ✨⭐️✨
Great video, Stephen. I love how you tied in emotional reactions to physical illnesses like the flu and the progress you’ve made handling the added stress on your body. It’s something many of us struggle with at times. You also have great insight and intuition about choosing topics. I love the new setup and the photo is absolutely beautiful! You’re so talented and a natural in front of the camera. Cheers!
You re so sweet my darling Thank you for your tips .just have your space when you don t feel well.the best advice for people dealing with psychosis ❤ Like the background ❤❤❤
Chronic stress can suppress the body’s immune system making it more vulnerable to other illnesses including the Flu. As long as stress remains elevated, the body can struggle with health issues causing flu like symptoms.Try to deal with the stress first practicing relaxed breathing, increasing your rest, relaxation and these Flu like symptoms gradually will completely subside. Great video! Thanks for sharing it with us Stephen!👋
I'm glad your doing better buddy, I have borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder and ADHD I went through moments where I just felt like their was no hope but your videos are very inspiring about your disorder and I think your videos give other people with schizophrenia and other mental disorders hope and inspiration and to see you come along ways is such a wonderful story and your going to get better and better so will many others just by watching your videos, hats off to you bro keep up the good work!
You are so strong and brave. Your channel is an inspiration. I have a brain injury and suffer from some cognitive issues that most wouldn’t be aware of it you didn’t know me. It’s a struggle. I cannot take Sudafed or other medications. It makes my body react in some strange way. Keep going young man cause you’re doing great!
Any extreme stress on the body can also put stress on the mind. Be very careful with yourself if you have the psychotic episodes related to your schizophical disorder. Whenever you're sick just relax spend plenty of time getting plenty of rest and avoid overstressing yourself. God bless you and I hope you get better soon
Thank you for the update. I'm glad you are feeling better. Being sick does stress the body and the mind and you have learned how to manage your illness very well. It's not easy, but taking good care of yourself is worth it. You are a survivor!
Well done! Good to hear you are coping well and on the mend from the cold/flu. Love your picture and definitely makes a cool background. Look forward to seeing your next video when you are feeling well. Take care. Appreciate all you do.😊
Good for you! I’ve had a long history of mental health issues and I would always really spiral down mentally whenever I would become physically ill which just made everything so much worse. I’ve come along ways too! So proud of you! ❤️❤️❤️
I really do appreciate the hard work that you have undertaken of working through a lot of your illnesses and your successes. I think you are an awesome man and I rejoice with you at your progress and health. I thank you for what you are doing to help others who have schizophrenia and for working to dispel some of the misunderstandings and yes, even fears of that condition. I’m glad you are recovering from this flu episode as well. I really enjoy your other videos where you record yourself taking walks and showing your beautiful countryside. ❤ Keep up the good work! Thank you for all your hard work on this channel. You are doing a great job. 👍
Hi Stephen. First, thank-you for doing this excellent UA-cam channel! Your talents are perfect for this, and you are providing invaluable help for people, families, and friends to better understand and cope with sz-affective challenges. My family faces many challenge from this illness, so I love what you are doing here. Question: Has anyone ever found any correlation between sz and asthma? A family member is severely affected by both conditions, causing me to wonder whether there are any known correlations?
I never could imagine just how crazy i was b4 hanging out at schizophrenic channels because at first i was so sure i am healthy and every body else is the problem but now i see my brain has rotted away in my head
I have severe depression and anxiety and when I get sick omg! Having depression makes it feel way worse than before when I didn't have anxiety and depression. I get way weaker and more depressed. It feels as if being sick makes my medication not work properly for me 😢
There are different levels of illness with influenza. I'm glad you are better. I had a terrible flu two months ago. But I'm seventy. It took a month to recover from all effects.
I do not have schiz. But I do remember when I was 5 years old I had a fever and I was hallucinating terrible things, scary people, the walls were moving and breathing while my mother & sibling were trying to force me to take medicine and the hallucination were are real as the hallucinations. I imagine this to be like what schiz. must be like. Even decades later I remember those hallucinations and how scary they were. About every 10 years if I DO have a fever from the flu ill have vivid flashbacks of that.
Thank you for sharing. I noticed the beautiful back ground poster. Is that a picture you took? Oh... Never mind. You just answered my question. Nice job.
I have bipolar, i live in Italy. Which medication you take if you would share I will be thankful. I take lithium but have many side effects. Thanks a lot friend ❤️❤️❤️ i appreciate your video and courage ❤️ 🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️I pray God that heal completely you ❤️❤️ blessing
Hello Stephen, I happened to see your channel today. Sent a message to a video you made a year ago. You can be proud of how you are managing and documenting your experiences living with schizophrenia. Have you looked at recent research on the connection of the microbiome and schizophrenia? Check out ZOE studie being done in USA and Britain. Perhaps they have some useful information for you. Best of luck in your personal journey. Greetings and warm regards Dagmar in Haarlem Netherlands
I wish i could describe my nightmare i feel i was killed and now my brain is full of worms and rotting away i feel so lost almost like ferrel child how do i know which one i am?

Feel better and don't forget to drink a lot of lemonade .
Hello. God bless you.
Do you take other medications with clozapine? What is the dose of clozapine you are taking right now? Thanks
Lemon Ginger tea is the best ❤❤❤
I wish i could describe my nightmare i feel i was killed and now my brain is full of worms and rotting away i feel so lost almost like ferrel child how do i know which one i am?
To be honest it would be better for everyone to just rest and drink tea through a cold or flu. I am sure it is better for your immune system.
Sometimes i feel sick too..😊
