- Want to know how to refresh wavy curly hair? Struggling to maintain "next day curls"? Here's a quick refresh you can do on day 2 curls (onwards) after sleeping on them, to add longevity to your wash day.
Note: I wet my hair in this tutorial but I have also recently been doing this routine without wetting or dampening my hair, just simply mixing gel and water in my hands, glazing over and diffusing - this takes me 5-6 minutes including diffusing!

Your curls look great!😍 I'm looking for another refresh product. I normally use Curlsmith Moisture Memory Reactivator, but the new bottle I just purchased does not smell as pleasant as the other moisture line I own. I believe they changed the formulation. I will be giving umberto giannini curl jelly refresh a try.😊

Thank you! You have the best refresh methods I’ve seen for 2C/3A hair! Definitely learned something things I want to try out. I typically have a curl cream or curl enhancer paired with a strong hold gel on Day 1 and refresh with a protein leave in conditioner and lighter hold gel on the refresh days (both). But want to try the one or the other approach so my hair can be less wet and diffuse faster!
Great info as always:) My favorite refresh method is Witch I Love Your Hair. Not sure if you can get it outside of the US.
I add about 5-8 pumps of that to my water. Then I use that to refresh.

I can’t diffuse when I refresh. It’s just gets frizzier. My hair is really fine :)
yes I always air dry the hair when refreshing .
Hi Juliebruce, I have very fine hair too. I found I can diffuse on a refresh day if I spray a really light amount of anti-humidity hair spray immediately before I diffuse. In fact, I use this method on wash day as well. It really helps. I am not the best at diffusing as I lose patience but the hair spray trick seriously helps. x
