Wow, this is a really interesting product. If the testers ever look at these comments, it would be nice to know if there are any drastic playing differences between this and a standard baritone.
There really isn't much of a difference when it comes to playing these types of instruments compared to their concert variations. As a euphonium player, when I had first played the marching baritone it had felt nearly the same. The only difference was I guess was where the sound projected from
ok but wessex tubas instruments are shit proudly displaying made in china, mass produced garbage iio but they got some cool unique stuff for a decent price dont expect anything well made though
Wessex was founded on the dream of making music accessible to everybody. As our founder Jonathan Hodgetts said best “you shouldn’t have to mortgage a house in order to afford an instrument that plays well”. We would love to also have instruments manufactured closer to home, but unfortunately: doing so would greatly increase our production costs. This increase would in turn be reflected in the price that our customers would have to pay for the instrument. We carefully considered all of our options, and settled on a factory that would allow us to meet our primary business objective. We understand that there are some negative perceptions about Chinese manufacturing, but we believe that we have partnered with a factory that proves this perception is outdated. We visit the factory in China on a regular basis and consistently see firsthand the skilled craftsmanship and dedication of the workers there.
Unlike some of the other manufacturers that source from overseas factories, Wessex actually checks for quality issues on their instruments. Chinese instruments as a whole have improved from time to time thanks to feedback from companies like Wessex, John Packer, Mack Brass, etc.,
Yea wesex definatly isn't the best brand of brass instruments but they are really good for their price and you can buy a bunch of instruments you can't get anywhere else. I got a bass sackbut and a piccolo trombone from wesex that anywhere else would've been at least twice the price
Now I need a demo of the ME12

These are more like an American baritone - in between the british baritone and euphonium.
