I read a forum post where a radio owner ran the update and lost memory banks M, N and O. I checked my radio, and I still have these bands with the factory default frequencies still there after updating. I don't know if the forum poster losing those three bands was an isolated issue, or if others are experiencing the same issue. There is not a lot of information out there as the update is fairly new. My update went smoothly with no problems. I would say update at your own risk and if you do, make sure you have a backup up the original configuration using the Anytone programing software. Please anyone else that has run the update, let us know how it went.
If you are using the PC software to make menu changes to your radio, I noticed that some of the settings will be off after you make changes and upload to the radio. I'm assuming that there will be an update soon to match the PC software menu items to the radio menu items.
Which USB cable did u use? I'm asking because I can't get the FW upload working with my Prolific Serial-USB cable. It's always getting stuck on 1% when I clicked write. (BTW I'm running Windows 11)
I’m using the AnyTone USB Programming Cable for AT-6666 Mobile Radio,Compatible with AT-5555N II. ARES II 10 Meter Radio that I bought on Amazon. I’m running Windows 12 on my computer, so I would think 11 should be compatible. Sounds like you have the correct com port selected if it starts writing. Did you checkmark the duplex box and make sure you have the correct baud rate of 115200? If you are using an older data cable, you might try ordering the one I used and see if that takes care of the problem. They’re $15.99 on Amazon. Good luck!
There are MAJOR stability issues with CPS2.0.5 / firmware 101. The only SAFE way to use CPS is to read the radio , make edits, immediately write it back. Loading a saved codeplug from disk and flashing to the radio can result in the loss of memory banks M,N and O. Also dual watch bank lists misses BANK K which screws up its operation. I have raised the dual watch with anytone, zero response.
My supplier programmed my radio already with a good channel/freq structure will i lose all these memories once i update to latest firmware ? thanks
