Good job - one important thing however, at 10:52 press "NO" - otherwise you can accidentally overwrite the firmware file on your PC (meaning it might not work next time, on another radio, etc). 73
@@agramcroatia4185 that's incorrect. The software requires you to read your radio first. Only then does a software know whether 21 MHz is enabled in your radio or not. At that point you can then use the software to edit 21 MHz.
So if the firmware file gets overwritten, I can unpack the zip folder that was downloaded from Anytone and start fresh with another new radio, for example, if I had to update my friend's radio. Is that the correct analogy?
I did a reset after the DSP update. It's not clear whether this is needed to reinitiate it or not. The instructions saying "you might need to" is not useful. I figured I would do it as a precaution.
Is there a video showing how to trouble shoot a connection to the pc as i am getting a no connection message, i have tried all sorts, it used to work, think windows did an update and since then unable to connect.
@@AndrewSparkfish let us know what was wrong if you figure out solution tomthis issue. Try to refresh connection to you ports in the Software for the radio with data cable connected to radio and pc.
Great video dude, upgraded all my software watching your video, thanks very much, Guy UK

The new program 2.05 does not have a 15m band. 2.02 has.

@@mostlypostie1 OK. I haven't connected it to the computer yet. That's good to know.
