Hi! Thank you for watching and stopping by! Let me know whether you purchased your EV new or used? If you bought new, would you consider buying an EV used? Don't forget you can also see all of the event playlist here! ua-cam.com/play/PListUDmGMNR71xIpk35hFtVDRhzTTCOwx.html
I bought a six month old MG5 from a main dealer. I like the car but MG support for owners and dealers is abysmal! I have seen other videos where the guy from EV experts said they won't touch MG EVs for this reason
I know that some dealers are awful (I've heard of horror stories), however the ones I've taken my car to be serviced from have been excellent, notably Chorley and Maple Garage. I had an issue with my ZS EV that was fixed under warranty under one of them. Unfortunately MG has been decimating certain independent dealers in favour of a larger dealer situation which is something I've been very against. I'm surprised that they said that although I was wondering why they didn't have MG stock. Shame really as I do believe they are great cars.
@@KCTalksEV yes my dealer is good too. Think it is that MG only tell them what they need on a case by case basis and the knowledge isn't shared beyond that. I would say the Cleveley guys have more in depth knowledge of MGs and self led troubleshooting than any of the 'Master Technicians' working in dealerships
I can definitely vouch for that. There is an absolute farce where if you want a software update. You would think the dealer would download once, then every car that needs the update is just using that file right? Well apparently not, the computer must download from the Shanghai server every time for every car. Apparently it's because it needs to check compatibility by cross referencing VIN with the main server 😂

There's been a lot of other stuff in the summer that will be released first, but the car has ticked over 70k miles 😁
