I’ve had this massive couple meters of faux fur in my cupboard for years and had struggles with it as I loved it but never knew what to do with it. I didn’t want a jacket or a hat so it was just left there as some burden, yet it was so soft I was still in love with it! I’m now so greatful this is the perfect idea of what to do with it. It’s simple, straightforward and I’m so happy to know it’ll be turned into something I cherish, so thankyou so much for this. And love the choice of patterned fabric it’s so elegant ❤
I love your beautiful energy Anastasia! It’s contagious! Thank you very much for the video it was super helpful and I can’t wait to try it myself! 💜🙏🏼🧶🪡
I’m in the process of sewing 6 faux fur blankets. I’m nervous about making mistakes since I’m making it as gifts for my grandkids and daughters in law. You were very clear and helpful. I’m not sure my old Sears Kenmore has a walking foot.🧐
OMG I loveeee your blanket!!!! 🥹😍💗 It is literally all my favorite colors and designs!!! Would you be open to sharing where you got them from? 😍 I’m definitely following this video when I make my blanket 🥰 thank you soooo much!!! ❤️
Of course!! The fur is from fishman fabrics in Chicago and the yellow floral is from Joann fabrics. I hope you find the perfect colors for your blanket. Happy sewing and thank you for watching.
I want to make a king size blanket do I need to sew more like the middle or anything to make it more secure ? I know weird question but I’m new to sewing
Is there a specific size needle that I need to use to get through all of the thick fabric? I am having trouble being able to continuously sew. My thread keeps coming out every few seconds.
Do you have any issues with it bunching or anything in the wash? I normally sew around the outside of all my baby blankets to keep everything in place, but that likely wouldn’t work well with fur?
If you don’t use batting is it more likely to bunch up and cause issues with the finished product when you wash it? (I just made one with batting and it semi resembles a dogs blanket, so I’m wondering if i can just leave it out xD)
Ha. Yeah I did not use batting and I have washed mine many times and it is fine. My fake fur is heavy and I used and upholstery fabric on the back. Thank you for watching Sew Anastasia and happy sewing.
That blanket is so gorgeous!!! Love the colors! Where might I find the same faux fur? Would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction. Thank you so much~🌸

Of course!! You can use any type of fabric . Thank you for watching.

You do not need to sew it in the middle. It will be secure enough at the edges.
Great gift idea!!
Would it be the same application as if I was using real fur I was going to make a real fur quilt
Yes but u want to use a special needle & a different stitch.
love it
Thank you!
Hey could u make a video on how to sew a photo blanket so like the inside would be faux fur and the outside would be like family photos
Hi, You would do the same thing. You just need to have your family photo fabric made first. Try using art fabrics.com for printing .
Is there a specific size needle that I need to use to get through all of the thick fabric? I am having trouble being able to continuously sew. My thread keeps coming out every few seconds.
I would try a denim needle or top stitching needle
Wouldnt it be better to trim excess fur to get to actual lining on faux fur?
You could for sure do that! Thank you for watching Sew Anastasia and happy sewing.
Hello can you link where you got your fake fur please?
It is from Fishman fabrics in Chicago.
Where do you get your fabrics
Do you have any issues with it bunching or anything in the wash? I normally sew around the outside of all my baby blankets to keep everything in place, but that likely wouldn’t work well with fur?
No issues in the wash. I have washed in a few times and it holds up well.

Thanks so much! I love it too. It's on our living room couch right now 😁! My fabric came from Fishman's Fabrics in Chicago.
This is what lockdown has done to me.
Made you sew?
What sewing machine do you own?
Well I own about 30 of them but this is the designer epic by viking.
Your voice fakes are scary..

Where did you buy the sateen?
I actually got it from my moms stash!
