@@orbglorb-zingalorg I've played alot of fighting game during my early day...soul calibur, KoF 99/2000/2002, DoA, SF Alpha3, Tekken 3, Mortal Kombat, SF EX series, samurai showdown, touhou (yeah they all have great soundtrack), and many more...i must say this definitely belong to Top3 of my most fav fighting game tracks... Sure some fighting game has grandiose theme (especially soul series), but there is big difference between good/great bgm and "fighting game" bgm. And this belong to later, definitely one of the most iconic imo. Everyone has their own favourite...so you cant really bring down someone else opinion on what they think is the best.

I recently picked up Makoto because I saw her martial arts style was shotokan, which is the martial arts style I learned. I’m now maining her and this is one of my favorite fighting game themes.
Everyone’s a gangsta until the Makoto player parries and nukes you with Seichusen Godanzuki. Bro playing Makoto players using SA1 is terrifying. If she’s got super and she parries 55% of your health is gone. I get it though. I mained Chun-Li. And Chun with a meter of SA2 is utterly terrifying to be up against. Crouch medium kick into SA2 is the best super confirm in the game. People’s aggressive play styles shut down real quick in those situations. But then I’d go up against Makoto or Hugo players and feel that exact same terror because if they parried I was dead. I think that’s why 3rd strike is my favorite street fighter. Most good Supers do an assload of damage in that game.

Playing a Makoto player with SA1 would make me shit my pants if they had Super and I was trying to poke or fish for a low cr. med into SA2. Nerve wracking. One parry and you’re dead. If I’m not mistaken it’s the second highest damaging Super in the game after Hugo’s SA1. But it’s been a long time since I seriously played SFIII.
I remember I was in Memphis Tennessee visiting my family. I was on the Dreamcast with my cousins and I played SF3TS for the first time and I was looking at these characters like who the hell are these cats 😅 but after I took a few for a spin I came across Makoto and I thought this girl was Ryu’s son 🤦🏿♂️ but after I heard her stage music I was instantly won over by her. She became my favorite SF character even to this day and my favorite track of all time it was just that epic
Idk which one I like better, the original or the arranged track. Both are soo, good, but the main difference I can tell is that the higher pitches are brighter in this version, which adds more contrast to the theme. It also feels like it focuses more on the main melody as opposed to the drums and bass
