I have just begun "Boyfriend Material", having never read Alexis Hall before. The cover design was one of the features of the book that drew me to it. And the book is over 400 pages long, which is a really nice length for a gay romance. The video was very helpful as a guide to the author's work - it sounds as though any of his books can be a good place to start, depending on what sort of novel one wants to read.
I will definitely read some Alexis Hall. Been wanting to pick up his books because of you for a while now. I wanted to read For Real in October, but didn't get to it. But that probably will be the first of his books I pick up. I think my favourite author is Linda Nemiera, she is a Latvian fantasy writer and I have read all her books.
I am really looking forward to when you try for real and I hope you'll love it. Andso nice that you have a favourite author and have collected all of her books 📚
Oh my gosh, thank you for making this video. I love Alexis Hall and haven’t read nearly enough of his backlist! Waiting For The Flood and For Real sound so good. I read Something Fabulous earlier this year and it is a very spicy historical romance and also VERY self-aware and funny.
Always welcome! Happy to gush about Alexis Hall any time 😃 And I hope you enjoy diving into his backlist - both of those books are fantastic. I will have to try and get to something fabulous sooner rather than later!
I think waiting for the flood is the one most aligned with your reading tastes from what I understand (that isn't the baking one!) and as it's so short it's a good way to get a taste of whether or not you'll like his books 🤗
I just got the e-book of Boyfriend Material a few days ago because there was a deal :- )) I'm interested in the spicier books by him too but it seems I'll be starting here :- )
I was wondering when you'd release a video like this! We both know Hall isn't my vibe but it was so so interesting to learn more about his work. You say you recommend Glitterland to almost everyone. Does that include me? 🤔
It was just a matter of time! OH that is such a hard question... I think you could have fun with how British it is and all the jokes and references, but as for the romance... you know what? Yes. I think if you're going to try any of his, this should be it. I would be VERY curious to see what you think and sincerely hope you'd find at least one romance you like 😅
I love that husband material gave you the perfect ending 🥰 I need to read it still, but am really looking forward to doing so. I hope you do go on to try more Hall as you adored that duology so much.
I love this! I have read Boyfriend Material, A Lady For A Duke, and Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake. I need to dive into his indie stuff!!
I love that you've read so many of his books and enjoy them!! I would really love to hear your thoughts on glitterland 😇
and oooh I forgot Rosaline Palmer is one of his! that's probably the one I'm most excited about? I love a good decoy love interest
I can see why with it having the baking element to it as well! I hope you'll like it. I have yet to read that one, but I do want to get to it 🥰
