Very unique swing. He gets his weight so much front in downswing, with rather steep backswing, i guess sliding trailfoot back helps him not to come over the top. All in all he's obviously very much the dream mix of power and feel. Just very good combo. But again, so unique almost impossible to copy. It's a special talent.
impressive? it's a logical to do that. He is playing a fade. Hence clubface needs to be to club path. Hence he keeps he clubface open in the downswing. If he hits a draw then his club face will turn over. It's not a spectacular thing. It comes with practice.
people are so strange. no matter what a comment on social media is.. there will be SOMEONE who disagrees just for the sake of disagreeing. complimenting him on something he does that's impressive to you... and someone comes along "that's not impressive, blah blah blah" - lol whateverrrrr broooo 😆😆
Keeps his body from rotating to much as he slings it down the line in a beautiful descending release . It has to work and the left side is kept out of play
He plays the ball back farther back in his stance than most I have seen. Easier to hit the ball first. I play it further forward and hit behind the ball on occasion.
Further you put it back in your stance the more your club path will be coming from inside-out. It also probably isn’t giving you enough time to square the face. If you worked on closing the face more throughout your swing you would turn it into a draw.
Weekend warrior, low-mid 80s - back after a 14 year hiatus from golf. Guy I played with in a foursome the other day was like "has anyone ever told you your swing is just like Scotty Scheffler's?" I was like "no - who's that?". He laughed and told me. I was embarrassed. And here I am.
New golfers and even some experienced ones don't realize that to get the ball up, you have to hit it with a descending blow. The clubhead needs to bottom out just after the ball with the irons. Don't try to help the ball get up. The club face will do it if you hit down on it. These pros are so good that they all have a small wear spot on their clubs right on the sweet spot.
He doesn’t lag the club, he doesn’t keep his right elbow bent on the downswing as we see being taught?? He doesn’t keep his feet grounded?? He basically blows all the teaching methods today out of the water 😂😂😂 he doesn’t even throw his left hip back 😂😂 every method is that taught today, he doesn’t use, I am done
arms?? what are you talking about? He uses his body really well while turning through the shot. There is hardly a chance to a slice. Only when he is out of sync. But in general he has no strong arms. at all.
@@arjanpetersenoh look... it's the same dude that just came to the comment section to disagree with people, for no reason, and tell them they're wrong. get. a. life.
Has oldtime lower body setup...along of angle in right leg in backswing..like Nicklaus. His coach says his lower body gets lazy, so the contuous angle of right leg allows that/helps. Right foot doesn't slip till after impact. Good video for me to learn from. I stop&start so many times that I have 3 or 4 different swings that each could shoot in 70s/less if I'd just choose one/stick with it. Neat/thx(for another swing).
Very hard to thin it if you club bottoms out to the point that it catches the ground after the ball. Doesn’t matter too much if it’s 1 inch to 4/5 inches past the ball just so long as it catches the ground in some degree past the ball. That’s why pros have such a large margin of error. If your low point it at the base of the ball you have a margin of error of around 0.5 inches. One reason amongst many why amateurs are so inconsistent.
man does he have a steep swing and almost looks to release very early. Like it almost looks like a high handicap amateur like me! But obviously I must be missing something?
He's incredible. Great player.
So consistent!
I admire Scottie he’s a true talent ❤
Crazy back flexibility. Probably best I have seen which is why his legs sway very little.
Great swing Scottie !!
So crazy how much his feet move on all his shots.
Most of the movement comes after he has struck the ball.
Only after he makes contact does the feet move
Such a powerful swing! Baller

Impeccable face control.
He holds his angles very well. Keeps the variables out.
The lack of forearm rotation post impact is beyond impressive. Club face so stable

Awesome
Keeps his head behind the ball and slight bend in the lead arm.
Scotty!!!
Great golf swing. But then again most of them competing at this level have that as well. What he does on and around the greens is what sets him apart.
Greats who let their feet slide.
Greg Norman
Gary Player
Bobby Jones
Just to name a few.

When I play it further back I have a tendency to push slice.

thats just the camera angle.

Nothing to see here folks, except a golfer. A golfer with his own swing: Who's a Baller. Period.

You didn’t know who Scottie Scheffler is?
@@JJG86 lol no! ` I haven't followed pro sports in well over a decade, let alone the PGA tour.
😂
Is it me or his hip turn is pretty limited in the backswing?
His head turned to the target earlier than expected. Maybe ok for shorter irons?
This is a swing that will last.
For you non golfers: try to turn your shoulders that far
Hits ball then ground. Noted 😂

How is he not casting with so little wrist hinge

You have got to have a pair of really strong arms in order not to slice the ball with that swing. Incredible!

Goll leee.
Yup.
It’s insane how he gets so much rotation without his head going up
what do you mean? If you don't rotate then you most probably early extend, or flip the club though impact.
Something from yesteryear
Looks just like my swing except he’s not fat like me

Not a pretty swing but effective!
No big wrist angles or lag - like Steve Stricker. So not needed in best PGA & Senior 😊 Interesting...

Look at the arm extension through the ball.
Too bad he’s the worst Putter on the PGA tour.
I can see I need a lot more forward movement before I unwind...
his putting is so bad he won the Masters
