KO Settings Notes per requests:
***This is for 60v Batteries only... Remember its (V * A = W) Volts*Line amps = Watts ***
Stock: 90 line amps
7kw: 116 line amps
8kw: 133 line amps
9kw: 150 line amps
10kw: 166 line amps
11kw: 183 line amps
12kw: 200 line amps
13kw: 216 line amps
14kw: 233 line amps
15kw: 250 line amps
Mid setting to stock ratio:
75% of 8kw = stock
60% of 10kw = stock
50% of 12kw = stock
Phase amps = torque (my stock setting was around 520) I set my sport mode phase to 640 so 82% of that is stock
Thanks for the info mate. Excellent video one of the best ko tutorials 🔥🔥
Thanks! I appreciate that!
Thanks for this information. I have a Chi battery (Gladiator X60 Compact), and I just ordered the KO controller. I am looking forward to the controller arriving!
@@greghumphreys1619 You will love it.. same setup as me. 👍
This video saved me a lot of question asking. Thank you 🙏🏾
Nice man.. thanks for the comment. I am glad the vid helped!
@@clu801 sure did had to got stuck with the Midspeed adjustment on the app n remembered you made a video about this already. 🫡💯
best intro....of all time.
Hell ya! Thanks !
Hey @clu801 I was curious with the chi battery, did you make any modifications to it? I have the chi 60v gladiator and was curious how much of a power upgrade it would be to get the KO controller? I was under the impression, I wouldn’t see much of a difference but from your videos it looks like you are getting a ton of power. Please let me know if I got the KO, would that allow me see above 50 mph? I weight 165
If you are running the stock controller then that’s an outstanding yes. The battery by itself cannot utilize its full power. The controller will unlock all the power. In all my videos, I’m only utilizing half of what I can actually do.
Did you install a custom controller or is this the stock one?
Yeah custom.. this is the KO-moto controller.
thank you! very informative vid much appreciated! btw you mentioned testing on bypass battery, you're not running the chi60v?..
Ya.. I am running the Chi 60v. I was attempting to explain that if someone wanted to know how it would be with a bypassed battery. 😂
Do you know if you have to first connect to a computer first or can you start brand new from the app. Seems throttle and motor calibration are all through app so not sure why you have to do computer first?
Hey Josh, So the reason for the computer initially is because you have to download a file to the controller and 'flash' it. I did this with the cable they sent with it. I did not have the controller on the bike yet.. you can just hook it up with the cable (it gets power from usb) and do the first bit. However.... they just release a new beta APP and it shows that you can actually flash the firmware from the app now. So it is my guess that you no longer need the computer. I have yet to verify this... I will be releasing a video soon with the beta app and flash.. but mine has already been flashed. But before the video.. I will ask them if its possible and let people know in the video.
Actually just looked at their site and they have taken down the files and the PC software.. so it looks like I may be correct.. that the APP does it all now.
The app does it all now, just flashed my new controller straight from the app.
Love the video, ur son had a moment.
Where did u create your notes from? With the line amps and percentage to make ep like stock etc?
Thanks for the kind words brother! Ya.. he is so funny 🤣 One the notes... I just sat down and did the calculations and took notes in Google Keep. I have them pinned here in the comments now. ;)
@@clu801 I appreciate that, I'll copy them for when I get the ko combo in winter (down time in Canada) I'll work on the bike slowly between ice fishing trips 🎣😂🇨🇦❄️
@@azndrifter204 hell yeah you are going to love it. I am bummed out that winter is almost here. Rode for 2 hours today and froze my ass off 😆
@@clu801 I know right! Today I decided to go grocery on my folding fat tire ebike so at least I can peddle and get the blood flowing. The sur ron would have been freezing. 😂
Thank you for sharing
No problem.. as much shit as people give the app.. it is really not that bad.
@@clu801 I’m going to get my Samsung s9+ repaired to use it. It was better than my iPhone 12 anyway
@@clu801 which battery would you get? I’m looking at EBMX and can’t decide if I want 72 or 60v
@@brendanflegle3326 nice! I just found a spare old phone so I can use that instead of my son's phone from now on. It's going to be permanently attached to the bike 😬
As for the battery I really do like my chi, I've heard that ebmx is pretty heavy but people like it because it's well protected. The chi 60 compact has steel plates so it's also protected. I would say just do your research and get what's best for you I'm not sure there's too much of a wrong answer.
My ko controller wont connect to the app. My controller just beeps constantly its super annoying.
Sounds like the throttle needs to be calibrated. Were you able to push the Hex file at all? That part has to be done with a Windows PC, then you can use the phone app. Just be sure no other bluetooth is trying to connect to it.
Hey @clu801, how can I calculate Phase amps?
Are you looking to adjust your Mid speed setting for stock? Phase amps is honestly just personal preference. It is related to torque. I was using 520 as my 'stock' setting, this was what I was told was the max the stock battery could handle. So 90line amp & 520phase amp. I set my higher phase at 640.. to be safe mind you.. because I am still injured. I have seen people set this up in the 700's. so in my case 520/640=.81 = 81% So lets say you have 700 phase and want to get to 520 on your mid setting (ECO). That would be: 520/700= .74 or 74% I hope that helps and makes sense ;)
Can you post your notes up in the comments
Pinned Brother... I gotchu
Needed this info 🫡💯thanks
No problem 👍
