I got to play this game today. It's honestly one of the most fun pins I've played recently. It's unique and quirky. I think with a little bit of polish it will be a classic.
I've played this game several times and it really is great, great fun! Its a lot more fun than many other new games. Tank is dangerous, but I like a little danger in my pins. If every pin was the same, or safe it would be boring. I also really love the FMV, campy acting and high frame rate style of the video work. Reminds me a LOT of the Command and Conquer PC games from the 1990s. Clearly done on purpose and to give the theme personality. I think many people miss this and it goes over their heads and they assume its bad acting. Its bad, campy acting on purpose people!
Yeah man Command And Conquer, that's the first thing that came to me when I saw the animations. Really digging it.
I used to love that game . . . Command and Conquer Generals was my favourite . . . and Red Alert was cool too
I own Houdini and felt the same way when I first got it. However, just like past games you were uncertain about, try and play it for an extended period of time before making a final decision. Once you learn the shots it is awesome but still a bit challenging. The pinball catapult is incredible. Multiballs are very entertaining.
Hi mate. I'd be happy to give it a second try.
Houdini is my favorite pinball game I played
Ok brother I just called American Pinball and spoke w/ Steve (sales) to see if it was possible to buy just the back glass translite artwork. Sadly it isn’t. But we spoke for about 25min and I told him about this UA-cam video. And how you flipped the script on the rumors and bay sayers about this game. Heck I was calling about a translite, lol so good on ya, and I am promoting you as you promote pinball team work
✌️😜
You are a dude of epic proportions my friend. Let's hope we can get one of those translites one day
I love the guy sitting behind you with his mouth open just watching you XD
😂😂 I'll get him to make an appearance at some point.
I actually really love this game. The example I played was really difficult to make the left ramp, so not sure if that's a common thing, if so, then I don't like the game.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it mate
It does feel like a groveling apology to AP, and in your defense maybe you didn't have an option.
Played this at the Chicago expo, and met the cast. It's a game that sends a message to the bigger fish, that this is the standard. It is a great game, so much, maybe too much going on.
Agree with Houdini, I found it exhausting with the tightness of the shots, it was very unforgiving.
Hot wheels.. it's an expensive home edition. We have one, sold it 2x and it's been returned. Still scratching my head, on why this ever got past concept.
Looking forward to Pulp Fiction. Expo was so loud, I couldn't hear the audio. It's a lot more fun than it looks.
I'm not grovelling. At the start of the week I said AP were for sale and one of the issues I'd brought up was a fault I'd caused because I'd not engaged the the coin door switch properly as described in the manual.
It would have been wrong of me to cause an error and pretend it was someone else's fault.
But I retain my stance on the the poor 3D feel of the sculpts and the annoying noise the tank makes which is clearly not engaging properly . . . . just trying to be balanced mate.
As for Pulp . . . It's incredibly well built. I've only played five games so far but it is a shot in the arm for pinball and a shot across the bows for a few other companies who are screen obsessed.
It's a simple game but it works.
This just has a feel of a wpc game in my opinion which is a good thing. I think why I was excited for Raza too before it's demise. The toy does look cheap but certainly no cheaper than Sterns key ring figures that are on all pro model pins.
Nice overview mate and I appreciate the tripod view 😀
Ahhh thanks Mark mate . .
Nice and steady this time 😄
Food truck pinball. Bleh. They need to release an IP! Galactic Tank Force is beautiful. Thanks for the video!
You're welcome . . . . maybe they will?
Wow! I am so glad to see this video… I wasn’t even excited about this game, now I want to play it and will have to own one of those back glass translights
Well done G
You gave it a good work out. Thank You. from Bill
Thanks for watching Bill
I always loved the look of this game but man, the toys look so cheap and bad 3D design. They should redesign them and release them as extra accessories.
Agreed it's kind of unforgivable when they're asking $12k for this thing. And the mechanical problems the early machines had. Glad Gonzo is enjoying it but I would not touch this thing with a 10ft pole I don't care how many dangling cows it has.
The two biggest problems with this pin is that it breaks all the time and that the targets under the tank aren’t drop targets. Shooting those things as they are is a drain sentence
I took a look at the game at our local dealer. Quality of the toys looked garabage and didnt even want to hit start. Hopefully this is a learning step for them. The more competition there is the better for us all. Instead of pocketing the extra $$ from not having a license they should have done injection molded parts
I know where _this_ one’s landing on the current “Top 50.” 👀😅🤷♂️
🤟
Great game... It's not just software issues. It's a great game but it needs some fixes and they moved on.🤷♂️not paying 10k for simple fixes they don't care about
Yeah American Pinball is not for sale and GTF lunch boxes and thermos were supposed to be exclusive to signature editions 🤣🤣🤣
Do you mean an actual lunchbox or a pinball part?
Nope i was talking about real Galactic Tank Force lunchboxes and thermos decorated by Christopher Franchi which were announced by American Pinball to be exclusive items only available with the most expensive version of the machine (Signature edition). But that was until 2 weeks ago when this "exclusivity" eventually was made available for everyone to buy on their webshop for 30 dollars 🤣. So i wouldn't hang too much on their words when they claim rumours about their company being for sale were not true 🤔
