The reunion was awful. The interiors of the Carrington mansion did not resemble the mansion in the previous television series. Adam was played by some awful D rated actor and they brought back Emma Samms as Fallon when it should have been Pamela Sue Martin. At least Al Corley came back as Steven.
EXACTLY. Definitely not the same entrance or staircase as the original series. Original staircase was at the right side - where Blake ran up to strangle Alexis who was giving her speech over the BALCONY, remember???
I know budgets, schedules whatever caused the interior of the mansion to be different but I have to say I admired the interior shown on the original series very much. That to me represented a true mansion. On "Dallas" Southfork never felt like a mansion and on "Falcon Crest" that house was gorgeous but it always looked small compared to Blake Carrington's home. I wonder what Mr. Forsythe and Ms. Evans were really looking since that is clearly a stock photo of the exterior.
Or, since they had to pay to rent some house anyway, they could have used the original house interior on location. It couldn't have been much more expensive, could it? Why rent a house but the wrong house T_T
@@ic1815 Fun fact, only the episode 1 was shot on the interior location, while in the episode 2, they had Krystle enter the set recreation of it and comment that it looks a little different :D
@@ic1815 Episode 2, not season 2. In episode 2, they brought attention to it textually. That's the clever bit about it - the characters commenting about the switch. Krystle: The house seems bigger than before. Joseph: We tried to keep it as it was. You can tell that it's a set now by what's outside the windows and doors, plus the lighting is fully artificial now.
If he built "her," "she" isn't that old a house. He doesn't look like anyone's spring chicken, but a house has to be much older than 60 years old to be old. He doesn't look much more than 80, and I'm assuming he didn't build "her" as a teenager or as a child.

Although Filoli looks nice inside, for continuity they could have rebuilt at least the stairway set. 🙄
