My question is, these guys presumably spend hours and hours training in the gym, and they have trainers to stretch them out post game, plus they get body work, and they can afford to be on the best diets...and yet we see these sorts of injuries happen--and mostly in games, not in practice. I see this and my mind goes back to some of Gordon Hayward's injuries and Jeremy Lin's. And so my question is why are these injuries so common? Second question, have you noticed that after the first major injury, the tendency to subsequent ones increases significantly? Take Gordon Hayward. For years he went largely without notable injury. But after the first horror in Boston he was never the same. It is seemingly always something with him.
What about a tendon pull or tear in the sole of his left foot? Perhaps a result of his reaction to tweaking his right ankle on what looked like stepping awkwardly on Herro's heel at the other end of the floor?
