I love dancers from all avenues, the damage your body goes through for the love you have is insane. I used to dance but never to this level, I am always a little girl watching all you in awe of a dream I wish I still had in me. Thanks for entertaining the weirdos and us people who truly respect what you do.

Have always thought that Pamela had more substance & depth, that was projected....
She has transcribed herself into the girl next door...
Much credit to her son Branden.....
    Her time to shine.

@@DIHUpodcast Sadly too many others who would be pushed by the studios for a nomination, this year too many actresses and only 5 spots… Demi’s undeserved nomination will take 1 spot and only 4 left and too many actresses backed by big studios…

I heard it was shot on 16mm film to give it a gritty realistic look. 16mm film is a substandard film stock but provides an art house B movie feel which I think is what they intended. They didn’t want it to look high end or well lit. Can’t wait to check this one out

In Futurama ; PA has a small role. She asks someone if they knew she won oscar. This trailer reminded me of Metallica´s video of Turn the Page starring Ginger Lynn.

I don't understand why people don't get that at Any time a person can have a part written that elevates or resurrects a career.
Look at where Travolta was prior to Pulp Fiction ( not to mention if not for an all but forgotten film like Blow Out would have been the seed planted in QTs mind for VV.

    • @AlexanderTheGraype
      @AlexanderTheGraype 19 днів тому

Not sure if it’s that easy. It has to be the right script, the right direction, production and time frame for a career like that to be resurrected.

I do not watch award shows as I did when I was a little girl, however, this year may be worth the look see. The competition will be wild and I think what will happen is that it will be like the high school homecoming King and Queen...the "popular one will get it and not the deserving. I have seen celebrities put little get togethers to help nudge their friends and family even, to vote for someone, whether a friend, an ex, or child. So of course, they have to be in that high school-like crowd to begin with. Some deserve the win anyway, but some may end up wit a nod by folks that didn't see the movie, but they want to stay in that circle. But, I have been interested with this movie. I fear some are going to joke that Pam's earlier work, like a homemade movie, was better or worse or whatever to get the point. It shouldn't. So I hope others play fair. I live in a area where there are casinos, not Vegas, and there is is lust for these shows by so many. I don't like the casinos, but many many do. So, I think some may walk away from the table to pay tribute to this movie, because for those, it is their life too. I am very glad Jamie Lee got into this. She plays fair and it gave something to it, but I doubt it will need it.

Yes. I am a seasoned former Las Vegas Showgirl and the last depiction of us Showgirls was such trash!! Hope this rendition has some class and truthfulness...I am pleased that Pamela Anderson played the role..she seems to embrace what it was like to have to move on from that life..I taught dance for 27 years after leaving Las Vegas and did Dental Hygiene for 25 years ..but we never forget what it was like to do 2 shows a night 6 days a week. Seems surreal now

    It’s a contender
Pamela is a few years younger than me, I’m an ethical vegan, too
Never thought anything of her except that she was a
    sexy party girl
didn’t follow back in the day
anything she was in as I only through the years watched
    great acting, directing, writing
She says she’s been a vegan for many years but her lifestyle wasn’t much of one
Plus that she always wanted to spread her wings into REAL acting. Why didn’t she?
She claims to have been reading Stanislavksi when she was on Baywatch; what held her back from trying out for stage and movie parts?
Even Marilyn who was “owned by the studio” got into dramatic acting thanks to Arthur her husband writing “The Misfits” for her.
Anyway, I love that she’s wearing no makeup
    and this movie directed
by Gia who’s the daughter of
Francis’ son who was killed while her mom was pregnant with her, is a dead-ringer for her directing aunt in her looks, mannerisms and directing style.
Looks like Gia and the writer-WOMEN, YES!-created an alive, edgy, real homage to women who because of aging and changing times lose their livelihoods and subsequently their identities.
    Can’t wait!

Do you remember the whole sex tape scandal? There was in fact a miniseries made about it, so I gave trouble believing you are unaware. She had already been typecast as a bimbo after her role on Baywatch, and the series writers refused to give her more dramatic plot lines. Then the sex tape was the nail in the coffin of her career

I dont think the Oscar is always a real fit often it is Hollyweird politics. That said I started shaking and tearing up with other clips I saw of Anderson in this role. Its crazy but i hope that not only does she nominated that she wins. Im tired of the botox queens like Kidman in everything over and over again. This performance even in sneak peaks is intense AF.

There was a lot of potential but I was extremely disappointed with this film. I didn't think the acting was very good and there were several scenes that left me smh. Others in the theater seemed to share my disappointment as we left the theater. A short film but it felt longer than A Complete Unknown which was about twice as long!

Oscar winning and Oscar nominated actors. They suck cuz they're tapes were leaked. Do you even hear yourself? Terrible take. There's still time to delete this before more people see it.
