1000pto can run bigger implements at more horsepower like a bat wing or balers, flipping it will either depress or press spring into the middle of the shaft you can see the hole on the 540

Did you ever find out what snap ring pliars you were using?
Is there a way to change the non reversable models to reversable?
what is the benefit by reversing it ? just the gear type changes or it does change the rpm ?

Haha! I knew somebody would ask this and to be honest I borrowed them from a technician and I never even looked at the brand or anything.
Where did you buy the pto snap ring pliers?
These were actually some I had borrowed from one of out technicians. I will see if I can figure out what kind they were.
