Conquers haki requires one to have ‘Kingly ambitions’ or sometime like that and in the navy’s case it’s all about being disciplined and following orders it’s like most armies about standardisation whereas pirates are much more free and kind of wild which makes you much more ambitious. (Could be all head cannon 😅)
It’s not headcanon, it’s just the basic observation. The Marines are much more restricted by orders and rules, Pirates have the free will to do anything they want and will is Haki. Even the Fleet Admiral (highest position in the Navy) is restricted by the Gorosei and cannot act on their own free will; that’s the opposite of the Pirate King who is supposedly the most free in the sea.

Not 100% but lineage is important too. Akainu surley has conq, Aokij maybe does too, I bet. In terms of powerscaling admirals have to have conq too or they would be fother for the Strawhats. Yeh footsoldiers have to be in line and follow orders but I dont see it as a no go for someone with Conq, the rank is a stepping stone and many marines want to climb the latter, being on top of the hierarchy is surley a kingly ambition.

But his goal is still requires for him to conquer.

Conquers haki requires one to have ‘Kingly ambitions’ or sometime like that and in the navy’s case it’s all about being disciplined and following orders it’s like most armies about standardisation whereas pirates are much more free and kind of wild which makes you much more ambitious. (Could be all head cannon 😅)
It’s not headcanon, it’s just the basic observation. The Marines are much more restricted by orders and rules, Pirates have the free will to do anything they want and will is Haki. Even the Fleet Admiral (highest position in the Navy) is restricted by the Gorosei and cannot act on their own free will; that’s the opposite of the Pirate King who is supposedly the most free in the sea.

You can have the ambition to bring justice to all the people in need, that seems kingly enough for conq. It makes sense for a dude to rather wanting to be a marine to furfill that then to be a pirate, dont forget for most people and most pirates are bad. Also Conq seems also to be kind of inheritable. Not 100% but lineage is important too. Akainu surley has conq, Aokij maybe does too, I bet. In terms of powerscaling admirals have to have conq too or they would be fother for the Strawhats. Yeh footsoldiers have to be in line and follow orders but I dont see it as a no go for someone with Conq, the rank is a stepping stone and many marines want to climb the latter, being on top of the hierarchy is surley a kingly ambition.
@@BaxsStudios Yes Kingly ambitions are required, but that’s for awakening the actual Coc haki. Normally those who have such powers are born with it and don’t want to be ruled by someone else. That’s why most of them are captains or rulers of somesort.
In Zoro’s case, he awakened his Coc haki so late as a result of not having Kingly Ambitions and being under Luffy. But his goal is still requires for him to conquer.
