  • Dulcineasdiarycontinued - East Circular Quay , not really it's an area under Circular Quay Next to the wharves. It seems smaller this year probably due to sections of the Quay with construction zones. Same type of stalls nik naks, mulled wine, flavoured lemonades, sausages on a roll, lobster rolls, escagots, creme brules more wine etc.
You can tell that I still have a cough in this video.
Onto First Fleet Park which was again shoulder to shoulder fill of people and the lawn outside the MCA which only had one way in and out via ramps. Note the main stage performances at First Fleet Park is not all French. One of the ticketed activities on I think Saturday night late was a Zumba class. Today the stage performance was Capoeira which is Bazilian.
More wine more racette ( racid) cheese melted over potatos crusty bread accompanied with pickles and some sort of cured meat - ewe the smell! More mulled wine more desserts more sausages on a roll , more lobster rolls, more escagots more fries more mussels etc more nik nak stalls.
Also noted how Choux Patisserie the business located in Newcastle is for sale. There were a quite a few people lining up for these eclairs and they look just as delicious as they were about a decade ago but I haven't seen much of them at shows they use to exhibit at. Maybe it's too difficult to get to them or too expensive maybe the business if just doing well as it is up in Newcastle. They were one of my favourite desserts in the past and they used to sell out of certain flavours at the Bastille Festival before I got there. I think the amount of flavours available at this Bastille Festival have been reduced.
