Already you can see the damage done by her being on pointe from nine -notice she is not square on her pointe too much on the big toe side on both feet and sickles badly
Okay, I KINDA see what you mean. can you point it out? I can't decide if shes sickling or if her her feet are just shaped kinda weird :/ which I would also assume would have something to do with how young she started.
It appears to me that she is not square on the block when on point - if anything she is too far over on the little toe side -which is placing undue stress on the muscles of the ankle-foot outside leg muscles -knees and eventually the hip -plus her bones are still soft and once damaged she will end up with a permanent sickle foot and who knows what other damage -
I agree. 9 is WAY to early to start pointe work because the bones I the body are still hardening and becoming solider and sturdier. Younger girls are still growing and still have softer bones and adding pointe shoes to that stage of growth will warp their bone structure and development.
I'm 14 and I only just started points, I think it highly unlikely that she will make it through the next 10 years of her life without needing an operation

Her parents want fame and fortune for her. I've not seen her do any other ballet except this one, and only for these cheap competitions. She'd be well-advised to stick to the daily toil of training for years before she's en pointe, but I'm afraid the damage is already done.

Honestly for having had three years to improve I dont feel like she made any crazy significant progress. She still awkwardly holds some moments and then rushes through others or has an awkward placement of her feet/body when moving from one position.
It's not bad, it's just that your feet aren't fully developed until you're about 12 so the consequences of going up so early can cause severe pain and growth deformities
Aria Clements May I add that the late Margot Fonteyne, Prima Ballerina of the Royal Ballet, danced for 49 years. She was born in May 1919, began studying ballet at age eight, and began her career at age 14. She retired in 1979. It's all up to the dancer. Good luck!

There is no doubt that the girl has talent... but it is too early for her to dance with pointe shoes and concerning her turn out there is always the possibility to work it out.... I like her!

Yes i do have perfect turnout on my running and leaps cause i have been trained properly. and licksalot is just funny.... get a grip.

You should be ashamed of yourself talking like that about a 12 year old girl. Envy is such a dirty thing but then your name is licksalot. Amanda, you were gorgeous at 9 and gorgeous at 12 and am sure all your hard work will pay off when you score a part as a prima ballerina in the future. You are a delight to watch!

its horrible to see that over the 4 years she still cant turn out on her running and her landing on the leap, makes me cringe o_o
