  • Walkaround, Sound and Fly-by. I ran in to "Larry" and this awesome 2015 Yamaha R1 with a full Graves Motorsports Exhaust System at a recent Mid-Ohio track day. He allowed me to record some footage and this is the resulting video. Enjoy!

This is one amazing 2015 Yamaha R1... awesome sound with the Graves Motorsports Full Titanium Exhaust System (and ECU flash), and a nice fly-by on the front straight of Mid-Ohio Race Track.

What a great bike! What aftermarket Fairings did you go for Larry?

+Gonzo Rider I'm not sure if Larry is an active poster on UA-cam, but the fairings are Hot Bodies. They were the only aftermarket fairings available for this bike when he made the purchase, otherwise it sounded like he would have considered Sharkskinz. Either way, the painter and graphics designer both did a wonderful job on the bodywork.

what are the pro's and con's of going down 1 tooth on the rear sprocket?

+Kyle Abron Kyle, I can't speak for the R1 directly because I do not own one (yet!), but I have experimented with this extensively on my Ducati 848. I first went up 2 teeth in the rear from stock 39 to 41t and then I tried a 43t. The higher the tooth count in the rear the 'peppier,' (more torque), you'll have on the bike. The engine will rev higher with a higher tooth count in the rear. I had to switch back to the 41t because the rev limiter would kick-in halfway down the back straight of one of the tracks that I ride. A higher tooth count would be good for a track that doesn't have any long straights, or if you ride on the street only and don't mind sacrificing some top end speed. So, if you go down 1 tooth, you'll loose a little torque and drive out of the corners, but, supposedly your top-end speed will be higher. One tooth might not be that noticeable.

@@Track848 oh so it's Graves Hexagonal ....i really love the design of Graves like in the clip you posted and its sound is very good BUT it took me quite a long time to search (specifically nearly 2 hours on google) because of you I don't say the exact name of Graves because the Graves Racing system has a lot of pipes and I can't find the tree in the Clip is Graves hexagonal ..... in the future I will probably sell Akrapovic .... I am attaching Akrapovic evolution R1 2015-2018 ....in the future I will change to Graves 😍😍😍😍😍
