What’s next after winning the greencard lottery?

- Greencard lottery application results comes in every may, month of the year. The questions people is what really happens after winning the lottery. First you need to have 200-250k Kenyan shillings to start the visa application. Secondly, you will start by filling in the DS-260 form. In this form you will fill in the background information, education background too. You will need to schedule for medical check ups and you will also need to make sure for have your documents ready for review at the embassy. You will be scheduled an interview at the USA embassy at nairobi, and you need to be there on time in fact earlier might be better.

You can still bring your kid after you get to the USA through a diff process, anything is possible in the USA if you hire a good lawyer.

very informative ,before i knew you only check once by may and if you dont get congratulatory message your done s,so one has three months to keep checking
Just know the statement in there never changes whether you check day 1, after 2 or 3 months, it can't change
She means if maybe u check bt nothing shows dtz wen u should check again..bt If u check and it says not selected no checking again coz u already got results

But nowadays there's no that part of sending your documents back to KCC...and always once the results are out in may (specific day) hakuna tena ati siku ingine ati period may-july... it's one day and nothing changes,the results you see there hata uangalie in July still ni that that statement: selected or not selected

@@sheilynenasenya9182 yes in may results zote ziko out like this year it was may 8 so on that day utaona NOT SELECTED ama uone your address na a mail notifying you you've been selected and link to fill ds260 and other instructions..hakuna ati ukiona like may 8th you've not been selected then ukiview June utaona selected no,it never changes. What happens is on results day the website itahang ju everyone is there trying to check but hata if you check next day or few hours from the release time your results will be there

Once the results are out and you check and confirm you've been selected it's recommended you fill in your ds260 immediately there's a link they provide you with there and then you'll wait for 2NL from them indicating medical date na interview and everything needed
