Hi Cris, Thanks for the wonderful trainings. Does SuiteProjects have a feature of Cost Rate Schedules where you can define/assign different rate schedules for different projects?
SuiteProjects (Pro) is the new name for Oracle's OpenAir product. Very different than what I'm showing in this video. I'm pretty sure what you're asking can be done, but again, that's a totally different (and expensive) product than what I'm showing here.
Hi, do you know if the resource allocation can be used to assign equipment to projects? My thought is to use the generic resource for this. The projects are all construction related and there are trucks, trailers, and other equipment used on jobs. We need to assign burden rates for each piece of equipment to projects for hours on the job. If this can be done, how does the actual time/cost get allocated to jobs on the financial accounting end? What I mean by that is, where would these resources show up on a P&L? I am having a hard time connecting the dots on how these "actuals" tie into financial reporting. Any information is much appreciated and thank you for reading.
Whoa Mike you are going deep fast. Honestly this is not an area where Netsuite shines. Other ERPs like Epicor and SAP have more options/flexibility for the requirements you outline above. The only way I know of to accomplish what you want in NetSuite is to either use Advanced Manufacturing (which allows for finite scheduling of resources) or Field Service Mgmt (which allows for equipment allocation).
Hey man, I know you've been holding out for a Suitescripts video. Unfortunately, I'm not nearly as familiar with that side of NetSuite and the Developers course I was going to make has basically fallen through. I'll see if I can find someone else who could do it.
So I've talked about Suite Analytics in a few places such as my Reporting Tools video and by SuiteAnalytics Datasets video. I have a whole module regarding SuiteAnalytics in my Administrators Course, but I won't go into that much detail on UA-cam. Sorry!
Thanks Snag! I wish I could, but unfortunately (as I am not a programmer myself) I have to wait for the developer who has been tied up. I'm still trying though!
Hello @supertraining first i wanted to thank you for sharing these wonderful tutorials , do you have any experience in the implementation of NetSuite in EPCM Company's speficallt for the oil and gas industry ? and if so i would like to schedule an appointment with you if you have the time to discuss this further as I'm really interested in your knowledge about netsuite
Hi Sarkis, I'm glad you're finding my videos helpful. I do have some experience in that field, if you want to contact me, you should message me on LinkedIn at "NetSuite SuperSuite", I'm happy to discuss it.
Hi new subscriber here anyone please can help me in checking the issue in workflow regarding 'On the ready to start, complete, etc dates any recommendations there? Thank u in advance That when an action goes into a Ready to Start status that the Ready to Start Date is populated When an action goes into a Completed status (this is a status type whereas ready to start is a status) thet the Completed Date is populated
Hi Jenni, I'm happy to help if I can. But I can't tell what issue you're running into. You don't want the dates to automatically populate when you set the status?
So, the Start dates will depend on what Constraint Type you use (check your options) and the End date (when Status is set to Completed) will be set at the last time entry that was put on that task. If you want to modify these parameters, you can always set up a Workflow that will set the dates to whatever you want (you can watch my videos on workflows to get a better understanding of how to set that up). I also have a course on Proj Mgmt that goes into more detail on all these things: supertraining.supersync.cloud/courses/pjt-mgmt
Superb bro. Next Revenue recognition and Amortization.

Haha there it is, just for you!

You're very welcome!

Is there any way to change save subsidiary in project. I tried by edit but it is not changing.
Subsidiary is one of those things that gets locked in, especially when any charges hit the project.
How would you do a deduct change order to the job budget?
Duly noted for the next Proj Mgmt video
