Some people cant handle the truth! Thumbs down aplenty but who could not give enough examples of weekend drivers at Indy 500? Only those who knows dillies about race! And Danica is right and Weldon is wrong! She just hold her line not to shut the door on the car that she knew was diving on the inside line. She was at the same line of the Penske in front when Weldon came across her nose,... and the commentator at 1:30 say he dont know whose fault is that! Yeah, right!
Dan's lucky because if that were a guy, his pretty boy face would have been punched. Danica passed more cars than any other driver, so why does everyone say she's talentless? Oh, because the posters on here are actually the world's best Indy drivers. I forgot.
I don't mind either driver & was happy when Danica won but I sympathize with Dan here. "Marbles" on a track play a big part in Indy Car Racing, & you heard wheldon say he cut down because he didn't want to get in them. There was a good chance that if he'd stayed in his lane going through 3 wide, he would've lost grip & slammed the wall. He didn't come down on her because he is a sexist, he came down on her so he could hopefully make it through the corner without destroying his car.
To all you Danica haters...have any corporations ever invested a lousy dime in your driving skills? How about millions? Ever get a free racecar for your highway driving skills? Were her previous wins "thrown" races by the men driving against her?. Maybe they were paid a little cash to lose? Look, respect to anyone willing to drive 223mph in a pack of hungry F1 driviers. Leave her alone! I like to watch this IRL race knowing there is a woman right there racing with the guys. It is a good thermometer. Besides any white haired, fat, big butt can buy or rent a car and go play Indy 500. If one wants to watch men´s real race go for Formula One. There is no place for Danicas there. Unfortunately there is that Barrichello :)
I read the post where someone said she would ruin the sport if she won the 500 I just couldn't believe it. I think she made some wrong decisions in some, but not all, of the fights she had. But then she is a good driver, and she is showing that on the track this year.
Actually all you Danica haters, and I am one at times should read her book!She wasn't born with a silver spoon,and she paid her dues!If it wasn't for Rahal giving her a break,and taking a real chance on her she wouldn't be here! What I would have liked to see is if she had raced with Andretti back when they were winning how many victories she would have now? It would also be interesting to see her just once race a Penske car or Ganassi.
NO I don't think that because she's a woman that automatically makes her the greatest driver ever, blah blah blah. She's raced 5 years and improved her points position every year. 12th 9th 7th 6th 5th. She is also the first female to win an Indy race. Highest woman finisher in an Indy race. 17 top 5's 49 top tens 3 poles. 5.5 million dollars career earnings. That's why she is a great driver. And she's incredibly hot as well. Don't be so jealous. Some people live pitiful lives, grow up.
