I loved this show because it was my childhood. We lived in the middle of no where. Had a phone that did not work, no tv at times, a general store about a mile down the road, dirt roads, a beautiful church down the road along with a brook where we could swim and fish. Simple times and making your own fun with so many characters. Great times :)
I always liked Uncle Joe because like W.C. Fields, there was more than a bit of outlandish larceny about him, and also because Buchanan was such a fine character player. Thanks for posting this. I just heard it on an episode and was glad to find the "complete" version!
Ernest T Bass Howard Morris in Hooterville instead of Mayberry Would have also been COOL. Bobbi Jo Pat Woodall could have Dated Wally Plumstead Skip Young on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet if Wally Plumstead had lived in HOOTERVILLE. Billie Jo Jeanne Riley could have Gone on a date with either BAG Zombroski Neil J Schwartz or Moose Barry Greenberg from Happy Days if Bag and Moose Had lived in HOOTERVILLE. Eugene Belvin Denis Mandel Melvin Belvin Scott Bernstein and Chuck Cunningham 2 Randolph Roberts from Happy Days would Have all fit in in HOOTERVILLE.
The Second Hooterville Hop has The LAST APPEARANCE of JUNIOR HOCKER played by Russ Horton. Herbie BATES played by Don Washbrook and Junior HOCKER Russ Horton were on the first season of Petticoat Junction ONLY.Herbie Bates and Junior HOCKER both dated Billie Jo Bradley.Pat Woodall and Lori Saunders the 2 Bobbi Jos look Like Twins.
Lol, Those Hooterville High School students are in their mid twenties. And tell me there is nothing suggestive about the name Hooterville. It's the place every teenager boy dreams of living. A blonde, a brunette and a redhead await you at the Shady Rest Hotel.
That's why this was the Golden era of television. There is some suggestion but in a cleaver good clean fun kind of way that the whole family would love.
All the people ive talked to about hooterville thinks green acres is a great show, but claim petticoat is a womans show. They never get why i like petticoat junction. Besdides the staff of the shady rest(which is great!), theres sam drucker!! and the cannonball and its crew!! I enjoy watching the steam train, my great grandfather was railroad, same with his son and my dad. I wish all towns were like this one.
Step to the left to the right then the hop with your partner (That's the Hooterville Hop!) Three to the left to the right then the hop with your partner (It's the Hooterville Hop!) Lot's of fun to do It's a step thats new just a hop hop (Called the Hooterville Hop!) Form in a line and your way is fine when ya hop hop (To the Hooterville Hop!) You can dance with two, three or four will do when you hop hop (To the Hooterville Hop!) It's a brand new step full of brim and pep just a hop hop (It's the Hooterville Hop!)
Well, I must say that the Hooterville Hop does indeed look like fun, but naturally I'd dance ANY hop if I had such sweetly-warm-natured and ravishingly-gorgeous dance-partners as those three! :D (And of course, their gentle-mannered placid-faced Mom's not so plain-lookin', either --- after all, in her "sister show" [Beverly Hillbillies], she plays banjoists Earl and Lester's comely former heart-throb, Pearl.)
That doctor looks like Adam West. Why did Billie Jo have to be there for that doc? She wasn't ill.And why did Uncle Joe suddenly feel as though dying? I never saw this episode before, so the pieces of plot around that dance scene doesn't make sense without seeing the whole ep.That song is kinda funny but has a good beat. That first Billie Jo was on Hee Haw for years. She never seemed to age.
It is Adam West as Doctor Clayton Harris. Kate is trying to get Billie Jo interested in medicine and Doc Harris to keep her from going to Hollywood. Uncle Joe who was faking an illness to get the doc there is overreacting to having a blood sample taken. It was a two part episode The episode can be seen here on UA-cam they are My Daughter The Doctor (pt1) and Hooterville VS Hollywood

I never liked him
This is cool
Paul de Rolf, dance instructer
The theme song of the show, just different lyrics and slower meter!
Also it emphasized the BackBeat in that shuffle
We have Sherlock Holmes incarnate here.
The name Hooterville says it all Genius.
Batman in Hooterville!! Too cool!!🚂🚂🦇🦇😎😎

And wonder why we don't have jubilees anymore
bugs me that I can't figure out where that elevator goes and that it doesn't seem to match the upstairs landing anywhere.
It doesn't move. It and the non working wall phone was added to the lobby by Uncle Joe to "give the place class."
It doesn’t go anywhere because It never worked. It was just In the lobby to give it some class 😂
BETTY JO IS SO CUTE!💓
The Hooterville Hop Song sounds more like Petticoat Junction 😀
FOESHOW
Too bad homer bedloe wasnt there, then they might have called it the Homer hop.
Does anyone know the lyrics to this song.

Steven Cameron McKelvey - Vaughan, Yes, the Hotterville Hop.
If you play guitar, do you need the 'tab'?

She was also the voice of Betty Rubble on the Flintstones
Pearl, Pearl, Pearl..... 😂
Don't give your love to Earl. 😂
Hold on - its Hootersville..
Alsright dahling.
Paul DeRolf who played Paul invented the Hooterville Hop
Was it ever released as a single? I love this recording. Very bluesy and the muted Trumpet playing the obbligato sounds fantastic. I'm impressed!
Hey Tina, are ya any relation of Kate's?? ;)
Only in spirit
I know --- I was juss spinnin' yer dials ;) :P
Quacks0, Yes, she's my mom.
