PORSCHE 914 RED ROCKS CLASSIC

- It's the biggest gathering of Porsche 914s in the Mountain West. Watch as 50 skittles-colored 914s drive the canyons and parade down Main Street in Park City. We also got a private shop tour of Kindig-It Designs (from Bitchin' Rides), had our own corral at a huge SLC aircooled show, and enjoyed meeting new friends with similar passions for these cars. Thanks to our host, PMB Performance.
Skittles indeed! What a great group. Congrats on your new path...
Thanks pal. LMK if you're ever in UT!
Great to hear and see from you again!
Thanks. I'm finally feeling settled in to our new home. More videos coming soon!
Looks like a great trip.
Def was!
What a blast that must've been! Good times!!
def!
This was awesome! Thanks for the video Ian!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you, Ian. Reminded me of my days in graduate school a lifetime ago. 😊
Which part? The mountains or the cars?
Looks an amazing fun packed weekend!
Love the skittles in parking lot!! And no breakdowns 😊
amazingly yes!
What an awesome ride! Nice video! Thank you!
Thanks Graem!
Worth the wait! Thanks for the video & the hospitality at my 1st RRC. Wont be my last~
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the seat Ian, great time. Pine Canyon road was certainly fun but I wish it wasn't so ...congested LOL!
Happy you got to enjoy the great roads out here.
Wow can’t believe I missed this! Looks so fun
Sign up for next September!
Awesome video Ian. Looks like an incredible event. You guys know how to party!
Thanks, Tanner. We gotta get out there and shoot!
Excellent content here. I'm the second owner of my 914 2.0L purchased in 1979. I was a member of the 914 Owners Association out of So. Cal. under the guise of Dennis Deeds. (Anyone knows of his where-abouts?) This was in 1982. Your video here is a great reminder of the fun times and comradeship amidst those attended in "the olde days". Thank you for the share.
Glad you liked the video thanks!
Thank you Ian for your video. I have a '73 914 2.0.
Great to see ALL those 914's.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great Video Ian!! (as usual!)
Thanks Rob! Hope to see ya soon…
Great video! Too bad that I could only make for the opening night, but it's great to see what I missed. Looking forward to 2023 in Steamboat!
Next time!
Ian I just now saw this video. That's awesome! Great job. Thanks!!!
Glad you liked it!
You made my 914 look great!
Ravena green is one of my favorite colors for a 914!
Me too ;)
Nicely done! Ian, you're just going to have to create a West Coast version of this classic event. Great seeing the 914 Skittles all together!
Ha. Thanks. There actually already is a similar event...West Coast Ramble. Go for it!
Hey! We have the same year and color car! That’s awesome!!! I just subscribed too!!!
Great! Welcome, Jeff!
Ian Karr - Awesome video as always! You made it out to UT? Sweet! I have a question, just so that I can learn what to expect from my teener(when I get it running). Did you drive your 914 out to UT or tow it? I will not judge your answer. How ever you did it, YOU made it out there and that's friggin' awesome!
Yep. I'm a Utahn ;) I shipped all of my cars out with an enclosed carrier. They would've had no problem making the trip, but I didn't want to expose them to rocks and weather. Also I can only drive one at a time...
looks like a great time! When will we see more episodes on the Bumblebee restoration?
Soon. I'm back in the saddle. I have a bunch of eps shot and just need to edit...
I noticed I never see the Copper Metallic 914!? I picked up a 75' 2.0 CM that's been sitting in a garage since 81. Single owner and in really good shape overall, only a bit of surface rust.
Thanks for the video!
There are definitely ones out there!
Great Video.
Glad you enjoyed it
My '74 should be up-n-runnin soon!
Good luck!
Great video Ian. It looks like you had a great time at a great event. I would love to see video on your car with the 2056 build with info on how it performs. There are not that many detailed videos about 2056 performance and reliability.
Thanks! I’m working on a wrap up/driving video to complete the series. Please subscribe and keep an eye out for it!
@@IanKarr Thabks! I am already subscribed.
"And nobody broke down". Funny!
A rarity considering the number of 50 year old cars
Looks like that was a great time! It's a shame you didn't get to follow something nicer looking down Gaurdsman Pass...
Ha. Yep. I somehow always get stuck behind a prius ;). In this case, the car in front of me was a support vehicle and I was bringing up the rear...
❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Don't give me no love and keep your nine one one to your self 😅❤
Ha!
That does look fun.
Highly recommend
@@IanKarr unfortunately I've only been to Utah once and I'm very unlikely to get there with my 914. Hopefully, a trip to Italy in ours later this year will be as good
@@neilbardsley this year it’s in steamboat springs :)
Hope to make it next year =)
def. it's a great time!
😕 Promo`SM
?
No wide body 914's
I think there were a few. Eric's yellow one, definitely. And Larry's Gulf blue one.
@@IanKarr wide body uses a 10 " wheel on the front and either a 12 o 15" on the rear
