Yes, the engine is brand new and you are right, the conversion completely voids the warranty. Now we have to take responsibility ourselves. Fortunately, we haven't had to send a motor back to the USA because of a warranty claim. It would definitely have to come from Switzerland, but it would involve a lot of effort.
@@tmschilterspeedshop The 290 hp engine is a decent choice for a daily driven car. With a cast iron intake and qjet it makes 330 hp on the dyno. It’s the hydraulic cam z28 engine designated the L46 later known as the L82. The cam is 450/460 282/292 114 lsa. I could be off a little but it’s close.
I would of never wasted my time with that dish piston flat tappet block! 880 roller cam 1 piece rear main blocks are way better! Flat tappet cams with the oil these days is a recipe for major engine damage! You pay once cry once on a factory roller cam block and the camshaft profiles are way better and reliable!
Thanks for your input. You're right, but unfortunately with the strict road laws in Switzerland we are only allowed to install the generation block in this car, otherwise it would no longer be legal on the roads. We have had good experiences so far because we also pay attention to maintenance.

Merry Christmas guys to everyone and your families.

Thank you Spanky. We wish the same for you and your family.
Was the engine new? Was the factory warranty voided because you’re in Switzerland? Once you remove parts the warranty is no longer good.

@@vinceyoung5912 Thank you Vince for your valuable input. You understand a lot about these engines.
@@tmschilterspeedshop You’re welcome. Thank you for you’re thoughtful response.
Edelbrock claimed 410 HP with at least 9.5 ---10 to 1 CR eg ZZ4 . A 290 hp has 9.5 CR. Typically measures alot lower
Thanks for your detailed performance information, you know a lot about it.
The chambers are smaller with the Edelbrock heads. That will raise the cr ratio
The comp is 8.5:1. Those 882 heads have huge 76 cc chambers.
