I was into acdc but i had a ramp so it was okay.... The burly punk of the neighborhood lent me this album but I had to break my KISS records. It was a great day
This brings me back, back then if you felt punk you were punk, it wasn't about what you wore! At shows anyone could grab the mic and sing! didn't matter if you knew the lyrics or how wasted you were!
Yo!!!’n I remember seeing them a few years ago at UNIT B skatepark/venue in Santa Ana Ca.!! They played there twice, but the second time HOLY COW it was raining people from the second floor , everyone was dancing and fools were skating the pools! JODY FOSTERS ARMY FOREVER!!

I have not listened to this in years. All I know is when this came out in ‘81 I was all over this since I had just graduated HS and skate core kinda stuff I always bought. What’s driving me nuts is not knowing when and where I parted ways with this single. I always remembered Count because it made me laugh it was done almost before it begins. This is awesome, good listen.

Found this guys after watching the silence of the lambs, blessed algorithms, JODIE FOSTER'S ARMY!!
I was once an OC local until my parents decided to move me way out to buttfuck arkansas where there's no surf skate or punk rock. I'm coming back the second I get the chance
That one song like, Oh johnny plays tha hits, but a great riff, and it changes time as well. Skatin you mean like on the rink holding your Moms hand? Yeah ok.
Love the classic Out of School 1983 Tour t-shirt with the picture of Reagan in the cross hairs. I was not fortunate enough to see them then or have that shirt, but a punker friend of mine did. I have been messed in the head ever since
Is JFA a punk band? I just found out that Sisters of Mercy are not a goth band so I'm going around to every band I like and asking their true fans what these band are. Only you can help me.
I wouldn't get too hung up on classifications but if ya looked up skate punk in an encyclopedia there would be mugshots of JFA, RKL and Gang Green. Surf punk was earlier and more melodic like Agent Orange and early TSOL. SOM were goth like but they came a bit later and were a bit more commercial. Its ike how people call the Offspring skate-punk. There not punk and likely can't skate (well enough to be skate punks) but were certainly influenced by it.
Grew up in so cal skating pipeline loved agression never clicked with jfa or the faction for that matter. Thrasher skaterock sucked too! Kinda like rkl. 50yrs old and still skating parks!
