      Jonathan Per France want out, Germany does as do many other countries in the EU .... people are always banging on about "Now is a time for change" blah blah blah but now that change is happening people are afraid of it. The EU will not last another 10 years. Us leaving the EU is just the beginning of the end for EU. Time to suck it up and get on with it. I voted to stay but after the more research I did into the EU Im now glad we're leaving. Peace ✌

      Harriet Bullock i voted for brexit as the whole point was this eu was designed as a trade union not a political superstate. As for rhe netherlands, wit wilder losing that vote and the rest of the parties are pro europe. This merely delays it. france is the key here. I would have thought this was a warning sign. people seem to think that this is just about europe but no it has wider implications in which America is affected. Cameron gambled and he lost.

      The EU was never meant to last this long! it was meant too last until economic stability and stability in all sections of governance was established after the world war.
      There should of been something that was meant to make the demands of all countries united feel like that their voices were heard and established but the EU has nothing to do with the peoples demands other then those greedy little bureaucrats in power.

    • @flobo09
      @flobo09 7 років тому +3

      If france leaves, the EU dies. If the EU dies, the eurozone dies. If the eurozone dies, the economy of eurozone countries fall. If the economy of the eurozone falls, the economy of the UK falls.
      New global crisis, yeah !
      And in what universe was the EU not designed to be a political superstate ?
      It was designed specifically for that from day 1.

    00:58 - "Brexit has made us, the community of 27, more determined and more united than before". Has it? France, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Hungary - all of these countries have UKIP-style, populist, anti-EU parties that are making big gains. I'd say the EU is more divided than ever before!
    I personally voted for Brexit, but I will say this, which might be controversial: I do actually support the idea of a European Union. I think that European nations uniting, in some form, can make us stronger against our enemies (e.g. China and other developing nations, who will pose more of an economic threat in the future), as well as reduce our dependence on the United States.
    BUT such a Union *MUST BE DEMOCRATIC!* It must respond to the will of the people that it governs - otherwise it is not a legitimate government!
    If the EU wants to be as legitimate as our national governments, then it must be as *ACCOUNTABLE* as our national governments! But currently it just ignores what its people desire - which is why I think we will see big shocks to the EU in the future, e.g. perhaps another country voting to leave.
    I am certain that the EU will eventually have to change its ways. In my mind it is only a question of when, not if.

    Exactly how is that democracy in action refusing your own citizens the right to make a decision.
    The UK govt took the brave decision to allow it's citizens the right to choose the EU wanted the UK govt to ignore the result, where is the democracy in Europe?

    Ja pierdolę, czytam poniższe komentarze i nie chce mi się wierzyć. Czy Brytyjczycy naprawdę myślą, że wyjście z UE magicznie rozwiąże ich problemy? Że pieprzony RBS nie będzie ich kosztował 6 miliardów funtów rocznie? Że upadające społeczeństwo, wychowane w dobrobycie, po pozbyciu się taniej siły roboczej w postaci Polaków, Hiszpanów, etc. nagle przejmie po nich (nas) najgorzej płatne prace? Własne elity dymają ich na lewo i prawo, zawłaszczając nawet robotnicze radości (widział ktoś ostatnio ceny biletów na Premier League?), a czepiają się Tuska, gościa, o którym nic nie wiedzą, wyzywając od "niewybranego", nie znając przepisów, jakie miały zastosowanie przy przy odnawianiem jego kadencji? Gościa, który na koniec wypowiedzi mówi, że już tęskni za UK w UE?
    Mały apel do wszelkiej maści prawactwa, które dziś triumfuje, brandzlując się nad wizją podzielonej Europy: mam nadzieję, że to wy, tępe chuje, pierwsi pójdziecie na front, gdy nam sąsiad wypowie wojnę "bo tak mu się będzie podobało". Największym zwycięstwem nacjonalizmu i faszyzmu jest to, że udało się im przekonać świat, że czas wojen już minął. Ci, którzy tak myślą: w pizdę grubo się mylą. Łącznie z Brytolami, którzy niedługo się zesrają, gdy Szkocja ogłosi niepodległość, a za nią pójdzie Irlandia Północna. Gówno będzie, a nie Wielka Brytania.
    Pozdro600.

      To chyba ty nie wiesz o czym piszesz. May już rękami i nogami zapiera się, żeby Sturgeon jej nie wyskakiwała przed szereg, bo wie że jeśli zaczełaby się kampania niepodległościowa to rząd UK jest załatwiony - już Brexit jest zbyt dużym frontem do walki, a dwa tak duże fronty zabiłyby ten kraj całkowicie. Dlatego uwierz mi, że jak Sturgeon mówi to w Londynie słuchają bardzo uważnie, nawet jeśli udają że nie (tak samo jak polscy politycy udający, że stanowisko Tuska jest równe sekretarce - dzięki Waszczu - ale jakoś promowali najlepszego Polaka w UE na to stanowisko). Dalej - nie będą płacić składek do UE? Nie będą, wtedy nie będą mogli z nami handlować. ;] Jeszcze w zębach, spodleni i skundleni przyniosą te same pieniądze co teraz, ale wtedy będą dziękować że mają gdzie wysyłać swoje produkty (sprawdź ile % produktów UK eksportuje do Europy - rynek wewnętrzny nie wchłonie tego co wyprodukują, a o bajkach że USA albo Australia odkupią od nich to wszystko, to możesz zapomnieć). Nie będą podlegać pod prawo UE? Sprawdź sobie co zrobi Great Repeal Bill najpierw, a potem komentuj. Dla twojej informacji - UK jest w tak ciemnej dupie (za mało urzedników - od 2010 obcięli liczbę osób pracujących dla rządu o 10% - żeby ogarnęli negocjację wyjścia z UE, tworzyć nowe prawa i wynegocjować nową umowę handlową z UE), że zamiast tworzyć nowe prawa, po prostu weźmie te które ma teraz (15-30% od UE, nie więcej) i wszystkie uzna za krajowe. Haha, no prawdziwi Coperfieldowie, ciemny lud i tak to kupi że "teraz to my stanowimy prawo" - co z tego, że wiele z tych przepisów i tak dalej bedą szły z europejskich agencji, bo to będzie warunek dalszego handlu z UE. No i ostatnia perełka twoich mądrości - UK stanie się Singapurem Europy? Hmm, to będzie bardzo ciekawe, zwłaszcza że jakoś trzeba finansować NHS. ;] Ludzie oczywiście zaakceptują, że "podatki korporacyjne obniżone o 50% = zwiększone pity/zmniejszone kwoty wolne od podatku = zmniejszony budżet na NHS i inne sprawy" i będą nawet powiewać flagami Anglii (bo UK już wtedy nie będzie, jako że Szkocja się odłączy) w geście aprobaty.

    Much of this has been immigration. Especially of this of europe. But in Spain there live a million British immigrants, more than a third. They are pensioners, who use the Spanish health system. The Spanish health system is considered by world organizations such as O.M.S. Or the European Commission. As one of the 5 best. There are also about 3275 Britons taking Spanish benefits. The Spaniards have always treated well, the British and have always been well received. In the holiday season of one million residents, it goes up to the 13 million who go on vacation or to see relatives. In U.K there are many Spanish companies like ZARA, .. O2 telefonica .. Scottish power, Idroelectrica, Banco Santander ... Mango ... Ferrovial .. etc. They give work to thousands of Brits. I believe that the Spanish people, have behaved well with the British people ... Spain does not deserve to be badly treated now by the British

    48% of the UK voted to remain, and I would wager that more than 3% of those who voted to leave now regret their decision. What a strange nation we are. I'm European and I want to be part of Europe. The UK voted to be part of the EU by a large majority back in 1975, and then last year we voted out. When will we see the next opportunity to vote back in? Where does it end?

    • @Book12
      @Book12 7 років тому +4

      I think more Remainers have changed their minds than Leavers. There was a poll done recently that said that 68% of people in the UK want the government to just get on with Brexit. It's also worth bearing in mind that even in 1975 it was still only 44% of the actual electorate that voted to stay in in the first place (due to the lower turnout) and the 17m that voted to leave this time was higher than the number that voted to stay in last time.

    End of a 44 year sentence.Sorry Donald, but for me this is a very happy day.Fishing and agriculture in this country was sacrificed on the altar of the Common Market/EEC/EU.For most of those years all we heard was that the common agriculture and common fisheries policies were going to be reformed.They were never reformed,and never will be.The EU is one massive undemocratic,sclerotic bureaucracy serving the self-interests of global corporations like VW.Why was diesel so actively encouraged within the EU? Whose interests were served by doing this?In my industry,fishing,for years because of quotas, dead fish landed in nets had to be thrown back into the sea.The total madness and idiocy of stupid rules and regulations dreamt up by pen-pushing officials who couldn't run a bath,let alone a business of their own.Who remembers the 'butter mountains' and 'wine lakes' where producers of these commodities were actively encouraged to over-produce because of the subsidies on offer to them? The European Court telling member states that prisoners should get the vote.Ridiculous social,liberal,so-called 'progressive' ideas that should be embraced we were told.We were bludgeoned into accepting metric weight measurements.Again,who profited from this?.We used to purchase goods and products in pounds and ounces.Remember when 8oz equated to a product weighing 227g? For several years after metrication,products were sold weighing 227g.How many products now weigh 227g? Funny isn't it that the products all weigh 200g or 400g now,but the pro rata price is equivalent to a half-pound or old pound weight product.All lies and deception.If there had been some honesty from the very beginning then i don't think the resentment and in some cases full-blown hostility would have come to the fore in the in/out EU referendum.We Brits are part of Europe but do not want to be run by Europe anymore.

    I can see France and Holland pulling out of the EU and when that dose happen that will be the end of the EU.

      And did those feet in ancient time
      Walk upon England’s mountains green?
      And was the holy Lamb of God
      On England’s pleasant pastures seen?
      And did the countenance divine
      Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
      And was Jerusalem builded here
      Among those dark satanic mills?
      Bring me my bow of burning gold!
      Bring me my arrows of desire!
      Bring me my spear: o clouds unfold!
      Bring me my chariots of fire!
      I will not cease from mental fight;
      Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
      Till we have built Jerusalem
      In England’s green and pleasant land.

    I have mixed feelings about brexit, i want an independent UK, a radical change, but i always want a safe EU and a good relationship all our European friends. I always find the positives to everything, and there is positives, so heres to an independent and stronger UK and hopefully a much stronger relationship with the EU than what we had while we was in the EU. Peace!

    (Voted not to join 1970s-Leave 2016). Suspected ultimate Federalism when we joined the Common Market. De Gaulle never really wanted us in, - we are an island trading nation by instinct. Life goes on, our neighbours are still neighbours so let's get sorting it all out without insults, threats or recriminations.

    • @peteb7702
      @peteb7702 7 років тому +7

      I suspect most of those who wanted to remain were not even born or had arrived in the UK when we joined the Common Market so never got to experience what it was like compared to how it is now .
      De Gaulle only allowed us to join on the condition we gave them Nuclear Weapons but France still tried to keep us out after we agreed .

      The referendum about whether to join the 'Common Market' (EEC) or not was mispresented to us as a trading organisation which would help the UK to sell its goods more effectively. If we had known then what the EEC would become I doubt if we would have joined at all. No mention was ever made about us having our laws overridden by faceless bureaucrats in Brussells. From memory, I think there were only 8 countries in the EEC at the time. Now it has become bloated with impoverished countries who contribute nothing but take all the subsidies they can get their hands on.

      Kurtis howard That is not usually the experience from multiethnic/naionalist governments, in fact it was the slow arrival of the nation state that allowed the central European states to have such diverse and interesting cultures with increasing local rights. Corporatism also doesn't have to mean abuse of workers, in fact neo corporatism has worked extremely well in Denmark.
      The nation states are known for killing local cultures to push one narrative of the nation state. Just look at France, that had many different languages and cultures, all dying out with hastening speed from the nation state

    • @ww12tt
      @ww12tt 7 років тому

      sue enough, but the same claim can be made of nation states like Britain. The EU has a very strict court on the account of civil liberties, something the UK has learned as well. The problem with your argument is that the only way to democratise the EU is to take power away from the states and give it to the parliament, which is what is happening. Every EU politician is accountable.
