This gives the song qn entirely new vibe. I really enjoy it. While the original gives a more hopeless and resigned atmosphere, this one almost gives a renewed determination... if that makes sense? I definitely dig it!
Yes! Also I get from the original track a sense of undefined nostalgia, but the cathedral scene could symbolize a renewed faith, or determination, in what Zero is doing, so I was trying to incapsulate that with my version :)

That's a difficult question! It depends, I tipically am very invested to music in videogames when sounds and images are strongly connected to each other. For example the Blue Room is my favorite from Katana Zero because of the unexpected cut to the cathedral. This image paired with the music gives me a sense of majesty, about memories that comes back at you and you realize that they are bigger and more important than you thought. Also strong nostalgia about something past that you can't say if it's a good or bad memory. In my remix I was thinking more about finally accepting such a memory for what it is and make it gradually yours, so I made the orchestral crescendo. And I'm not even sure if all of this is nearly enough as an answer ;)

Just a question, since I'm not musically versed, but do you actually use all the real instruments for these remixes? Or is it a digital program that allows you to use real instrument sounds for this stuff.
I only have guitars and a bass, the rest is all virtual instruments (because it's cheaper, faster and I can find a lot of them free) that I can use in the recording software: basically I can either play them with a PC keyboard or program them into midi files, putting notes in a grid
For sure someone did some speedruns, search it on UA-cam, I saw someone is around 15 min, which is crazy! Maybe you can see how they play to improve ;)
I agree, but I also have super sweaty hands. Expecially under pressure the sweating increases a lot and the controller slips out of my hands, it's kinda hilarious :D So I have to stop every 2-3 minute and dry them, or use gloves loosing precision: either way not the best for speedruns T.T
