I have seen some Good Luck Charlie episodes, not as much as of BOLN and can say that the actors of BOLN really made the difference. Specially Rohan felt better than PJ.

As much as I respect love and watch both these shows, the indian remake just feels a tad bit cheaper, in terms of the lighting and set design. The house doesn't feel real. GLC really nailed it with the kitchen and living room. Lighting was great too and lets not forget the acting. But alot of indian disney shows at the time had a similar vibe in terms of score, set design and acting so we cant blame them. But it really hasn't aged too well.
It's a show that are meant for kids. So in setting this kind of really bright rooms and colourfull vibes and their edgy expressions kids are really attracted to it more. So you can't say they did a bad job with that cause everyone is in love with this show who saw it from their childhood
