Frankie Howard was one of very few performers who had a unique talent of being able to draw t h e audience in.....his saucy innuendo and bawdy broad humour was perfect for his camp lucid style,...he thrived , as he effortlessly showed his full repertoire of naughty oneliners and double entendre,.....he was an highly talented , and a very funny man....
Murph, Ave for posting these vids, I never got the jokes when I was a kid growing up in the 70s. It's a crying shame they don't make sit coms like this anymore mate. Loved the Carry on films growing up too.
I wonder why they constantly mentioned the greek culture when they were obviously living in roman times. The sign is in latin. They re going to rome their names are roman the man of the house is a senator. But they pay for things in drachmas not sesterces and the messenger is hermes not mercury
Another thing i ve noticed in more than 20 movies and tv shows. Whenever there s a chess board the players right hand squares are ALWAYS black which is wrong. Has anybody else noticed this or does anyone know why. It s way more than 50 percent. More like 90
Wouldn't have minded being sold to Lurcio's new Mistress, a right naughty mature sauce pot, what a way to go!!!
